This is a top-quality ball from arguably the best ball manufacturer in the business.IMPORTANT NOTE: some reviews downgrade the ball because it is “leaky” or loses air. This is not a fault with the ball or the brand. These reviewers are ignorant of the materials that go into Select’s professional grade balls. Select uses latex for their top-end balls: it is responsive, light, provides superior touch and superior responsiveness when striking the ball - and is more expensive. But latex, by nature, is also a more porous material, and air leaks over time. In order to save some money and add convenience, other brands skimp and use butyl or rubber bladders as they are less responsive. But butyl/rubber also lacks performance, is heavier and hardens/cracks over time.Bottom line: If you want a ball that responds like the balls professionals use, get a high end Select and just top off air every few days.If you can’t be bothered to top balls off, get another brand, but know you may pay a premium for a ball with the same underlying materials as a 10 year old AYSO kid’s ball from Target.

I studied reviews of various brands and decided this was the one. It is every bit what I expected, and more. It has a great feel to it, and lots of "pop" off of your foot. It flies exceptionally well. The weight feels just right. Cheap balls feel too light and don't fly right. The Brine balls that our high school uses are excellent balls as well, but they just feel heavy, especially when heading a long ball. This is the "Goldie-locks" of balls. It's just right. Highly recommended!

Nice retention on the foot and supple enough for good control while having a good amount of durability on turf and grass. Controllable flight. Bought two and consistent performance between them which speaks to the quality, but one does lose air a bit faster (-1 PSI per week)

In almost every country but the United States, soccer is referred to as football. Its an exciting sport which, for some reason, simply hasn't really caught on to the degree that you'd have thought, especially when you consider how ultra popular it is virtually everywhere else.Before you buy, keep in mind this ball is essentially a professional grade soccer ball...and with it comes a few distinct differences from other soccer balls you can purchase down at the sporting goods store down the street. Because of this, the ball will naturally lose a little air over the course of a few days and require you to add air to it every few days or so. This is pretty much standard for professional soccer balls, so do NOT be alarmed or disturbed by this. What you WILL need is a portable pump to be brought with you almost everywhere in order to maintain proper psi and keep it inflated correctly. Once you are aware of this, you won't be bothered by the loss of air regularly.If this may be a problem for you, I would recommend buying a cheaper ball that won't lose air so easily.

Used this ball twice. Lightly used, nothing crazy. It quit holding air after that. I bought the expensive one, wanting it to last forever. What a waste!

I have hopes that time will heal this ball. The quality of this Select soccer ball itself seems just right. Good exterior with subtle dimples for grip and to deal with wet/moist turf grass playing conditions. The ball pumps up well and holds air for 3-4 days before needing a few brief pumps of air to again put it at the right practice/match level for ideal PSI/bar. Here's the one issue: It's still a bit lopsided coming out of the Amazon shipment narrow box. This ball was shipped with five other products. I guess to save space for this one box with six total items the ball was fully deflated and folded in half. (Or maybe it was stored folded for a period of time even before placement in the box for shipping to the customer? Don't know. Can only speculate. But the ball was in a fold coming out of the Amazon cardboard shipping box.) The problem is that the ball is still not fully rounded on opposite poles - due to what I believe to be the manner in which it was stored and/or shipped. Normally reputable sports equipment providers do not fully deflate and fold a soccer ball. This is never done. To ship it properly, the ball is shipped halfway inflated but with the ball in its fully normal round shape AND with the proper box for shipping, not a flat box that forces the packer to fold the deflated ball. So time will tell if this Select ball regains what should have been its original round shape. I write this only three weeks after unpacking the ball. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that with a bit more gradual use to break the ball in, this oblong shape on the two opposite ends will dissipate. We'll see. Amazon staff: Please ship these quality soccer balls with more attention to detail, more care. The proper way is half inflated - with the soccer ball in its fully round shape, preferably in its original soccer ball packaging AND with the cardboard mailing box the proper size to comfortably fit a size 5, 4 or yes even size 3 soccer ball. Okay? Please do it that way. Don't use narrow boxes that aren't large enough for the task. Then you won't harm an otherwise (I hope) very decent Select pro level quality match and training ball. If it were not for the fully substandard packing method used for shipping and the current oblong shape of the ball (not fully round) at present (still), I'd be giving this Select FIFA Pro quality level soccer ball a 5 star rating.

I have 7 Soccer balls in my home and we play 2 games per week, 11vs11 . Select Soccer ball is the best soccer ball I have ever played. It is much better than cheap adidas and Nike balls. The first response when you touch the ball, you will feel the difference. During the first game we play this ball, none of my soccer friend knows this select brand but they are all amazed by the quality of the ball. I told them it is Bundesliga match ball. They all agree this is an excellent soccer ball. If you shoot the ball with power, the ball travels straight in the air, not in S line.In another user's (Snap, Crackle and Pop) comment below, it well explained why the genuine latex bladder soccer slowly loose air. That is normal. After each game, I remove the air from the ball and let the ball "rest" until next game. I never do that to my Nike merlin soccer ball, yes the Nike merlin soccer call does not loose air, but it give me a cheap plastic feeling, it is not hand-stitched, it has no latex bladder, it is nothing comparing to Select Soccer Ball. If you are serious about soccer game, please inflate the before each game.I am so proud to have this best soccer ball, I slept with the ball in the first few days I received it from Amazon and kicked out my wife to another room.

Bought this to use as our second game ball. Seems to have held up very well, used in five games. Good price point.

This ball is wonderful. It's about the best value for a match ball that will actually last. Better than adidas junk. And I can spell "which", so pay attention.
