Came wrapped in plastic to protect the book!

I finished the book at 12:30 in the morning. I do not recommend finishing this book in that time frame, because then one is is expected to sleep and be tired after riding the most exhilarating of emotional rollercoasters.I sat, reletively comatose, on my couch for a good hour. Just absorbing everything that had transpired. Paige and Wardens's PTSD, their friendship, a whole new collection of voyants (and a few familiar faces), the adventures into the heart (and depths) of Scion Paris and the uh...romance *waggles eyebrows*. Oh the romance! And that ending! Ms. Shannon has proved that four years was worth the wait, and I will wait another four (hopefully not, but hey, Genius takes time!) if I have to. The expansion into Paris was fun and exciting, even if it did give me a terrible case of travel lust.Bottom Line: an excellent installment to a very excellent series!

It is difficult, to say the least, to create a seven-book series in which the reader is kept interested, invested, and constantly on their toes, but Samantha Shannon is doing it with every appearance of ease. She continues to imbue her established characters with further depth while juggling a new cast of peripheral characters with every book - and at the end of this one, you will be in doubt about every where every single one of them stands and what part they have to play in the future. I am looking forward to the next book in the series more than I can possibly express.

The amount of emotional damage I endured through this book….I am dreading the book hangover and the two year wait for the next installment.I screamed, I laughed, I cried. I don’t have enough praises for a book that left me shell-shocked and upset. Samantha Shannon might as well have torn out my heart herself.This has been and will likely always be my favorite fantasy series!!!

This book blew this series onto a whole new level. I’m just in awe and shocked.

OMG! If you've read the previous 3 books, the opening alone will get you all pump and remembering EVERY SINGLE THING that happened on the song rising. WOW! Didnt put it down until I was done. Good luck with your emotions reading this one lol. Samantha Shannon took her time and it shoes on this one!

Mind-blowing continuation of the Bone Season series. Excited to read the novels to come!
