Good quality, safe tool
I bought the brush to groom my four short to medium haired cats. It works well and the cats seem to enjoy being brushed with it. However, I find it works better on my medium haired cat and would probably be even more effective on long hair. When used on my short haired cats, at first the hair flies instead of collecting in the tines, until it builds up adequately, so there is a bit more of a cleanup than I expected. I have an identical tool which is smaller and has shorter tines, and it works perfectly for my short hair cats. Still, I give this tool a 5 star because it is very well made and I think it will last without bent or broken tines, and no rubber tips to come off exposing dangerous sharp metal. I would recommend it for medium or long-haired animals.

Tough but gentle.
This is my second brush. My German Shepherd loves the brush. Feels comfortable on his coat.Unfortunately, after two months of use. Pins on the brush started to sink in and bend. Somehow this brush did not do well!

Well made pet brush, just buy it.
This brush is very well made, I like the fact that the handle body is made from bamboo with a boar hair brush. Sure you can buy plastic brushes for less money but just don't hold up.

Sturdy
I have a cat who has not been groomed before and was initially rather hesitant about my brushing her. This brush is gentle on the side that has the bristles and she relaxed right away. The side with the pins I’m still working on. Comb is sturdy and useful for combing sticker-burrs out of tails.

Works great
I have a Cavapoo and her hair is poodle like curly. This brush works great on her coat getting snags out easily. Also the soft side is nice to brush her face. Very good quality.
