There is nothing bad to say on this sketch book. It takes every medium with ease . It is a solid strong sketchbook with a really good quality elastic and fabric feel cover . The pages are thick with a good tooth in it and if desired you can gesso the page for extra strength and colour vibrancy . The pages are not snow white , a light cream colour but again you can gesso if you want that bright white . You can paint on this and remove the page easily for sale. Washi tape works well and removes easily . I am an artist and would recommend this Canson sketchbook. I know it is on the pricey side but the quality is excellent . I do not purchase sketchbooks with ring binding , however I made an exception here and can say it is bound well and not at all flimsy like cheaper sketchbooks . So ,nothing not to like and would purchase again .

Very happy with the quality, but the seller needs to be more specific with the description of the product. The picture say 64 pages in the A4 book, but I only received a 54 page book. The title description states 28 pages. The pages are not as white as expected.

The paper can be used on both sides. Each side is the same finish. Took to watercolors and ink well. While not quite up to Arches, it’s the best watercolor sketchbook I have found. I was sensitive to how ink would work with the rough grain, but I had no issues. (Used fountain pen, Pigmas, etc.) On a few sketches when I added several layers of paint, it did not do as well as Arches for uniformity, but that was a rare use. Book is substantial. I like the hard cloth cover and the spiral binding. Perfect size for my use. I have tried other books from Stillman and Burns, Moleskine, Pentalic, W&N, and this just checked all the right boxes for quality, size, and cost.

The media could not be loaded. The Canson Art Book is an A5 (5.8" x 8.3") hard fabric-covered spiral bound sketchbook featuring an elastic band to keep the book closed and a paper pocket inside the back cover. The paper is slightly textured and thick (98lb or 160g/m). While is used primarily for pencil and charcoals, no risk of bleed-through with this paper. The sketchbook has a high quality look and feel and is a great size for car travel for the little artist in our family. Would re-purchase in a heartbeat.
