FINALLY!
I've struggled to find a collar to prevent my eight month old border collie puppy from pulling. I've tried no-pull harnesses and haven't liked any of them. He walks PERFECTLY on a regular prong collar, but it binds up in his fur and makes him itchy and he cries...not from the sensation of the prongs, but from his fur getting pulled as the hair catches. Of course that's not going to work. So I thought I would try one with rubber tips. And I love how this collar has the collar-cover on it which also prevents my puppy's hair from binding up in the prongs, as the collar cover prevents hair from going in through the body of each prong. One of my biggest rubs with prong collars is this: people who manufacture and sell these things act like the only dog who pulls is an 80 pound (or bigger) dog. So the prong link sizes are MASSIVE! Well to you people out there who think this...smaller dogs pull too! And it's just as annoying! I like a prong collar with smaller prong links, but it needs to be longer than that needed for a chihuahua.I ordered this collar in size small to get those smaller sized links. It comes with two extra links and then I added another link of my own to make the collar long enough to not fit tightly on my dog's neck. I like a prong to fit a bit loosely, so that when my dog is not pulling, he doesn't have to feel the sensation of prongs digging into his neck. When he doesn't pull, he feels nothing. For this, I needed the extra links. And as my puppy grows, I will be adding more links. The rubber tips seem to make a big difference in the general comfort of a prong on my puppy. Happy puppy...happy owner. And there are extra rubber tips included with the collar in case one comes off.I don't think I'll ever need to use the locking mechanism on the clasp, as there are double rings to attach the leash to, but it' s a nice touch in case. While I can't attest to the durability of this collar, I can say that I think it's going to solve a problem that I've been working on for awhile and it's a GREAT value for the money!

Holds up
My pit bull is very ornery and rambunctious. A normal collar would not work with him on walks. This collar is very sturdy and has markedly improved our walks.Making it smaller can be difficult, removing the links and such. But once you adjust it to your dog, it's terrific.

Works
This is a good training collar for strong dogs to keep them walking with you. It’s important you don’t just hold back when rhe dog pulls but a quick pull with verbal command then relax the leash. If you just hold back the dog will get used to the pressure and continue to pull. I also like the fact that you put the leash through 2 d- rings for extra security

Too large for small dog
This is a beautifully constructed collar. Well made, sturdy, good quality. But way too small for my 13-lb Bich-poo. The size says up to 17". your dog needs to be close to 17" for this to work.If your dog is big enough for this collar, I would recommend it.

Even little dogs pull!
I have a little dog (18 lbs) and he does pull on occasion. Sometimes more than usual. It’s annoying! Training suggestions on dogs pulling did not help so I decided to try this!Instantly noticed a difference and so did my dog, lol! Did not hurt him, but he did go, oh, I shouldn’t pull! After 3 walks, I’ve already noticed a difference in him. He isn’t even trying to pull. This collar is easy to get on and off with the clasp! It’s great because I don’t have to put my dogs head through it to get it on! Also like the cover and the love the rubber tips on the prongs.Should have bought this long ago! I love it!

VERY DIFFICULT TO ADJUST
I have a medium and a larg dog. Both of them best fit with a size "S". When I tried to see about adjusting the collar size, there is no instruction on how to do that and as far as I can tell, would require tools to do so.

Completely Satisfied
Today was our best walk EVER. After all of the professional classes, videos and online training, this is what we needed. We received the perfect size collar using the measurement guide instructions provided. She didn't even attempt to pull. She knew that something was different, but that's it. For the 1st time, I am excited to walk her tomorrow. She ALWAYS walks ME. Today, she didn't. I walked with her proudly instead of being embarrassed by her 45 degree walking. It didn't hurt her at all. When a dog ahead of us turned towards us aggressively, she just barked and didn't try to rush toward the dog or other dogs that were barking in their backyards or houses. Is it obvious that I am extremely happy with this collar? 😄

Good for pet squirrel
Arrived in a little flat box. Product is MUCH smaller than the ones in the stores. Unlike what is shown in the pictures, you can not just easily user your hands to adjust the number of prongs. Even with piers it was a PITA.The product is delivered at it's smaller fitment instead of max fitment. The Nylon band is attached with Velcro but if you adjust the number of prongs it will not be perfectly positioned. The product received was delivered with the rubber caps missing from the last prong... there are additional prongs and caps included. There are ZERO instructions included. Improper sizing could cause injury. But proper instructions are not included. This particular product is not designed to reduce circumferential measurement when applied. The product is so scaled-down that the recommended size seems non-effective.
