I bought this kit to fix a sticky joystick. I then had to buy some desoldering wire to remove the old solder. It was a challenge to remove the solder enough to get the old part out. Once removed I placed the new part in place. It was a perfect fit and everything lined up exactly. Then came the challenge to solder the new part into place with a small part and a very small area to place solder on the 13 contacts. Apparently, I did not do a good enough job of soldering everything in place because when I turned on the controller it moved immediately to the far right and would not move back to the left. Im sure it was not an issue with the replacement part because it moved up and down, just know soldering the new part on the board is not as easy as you would think it would be. So if you are good at soldering small contacts then this is probably a good deal, but if you are an old man like me who can barely see the contacts with tri-focals just buy a new controller.

Great price for a lot of miscellaneous parts to fix Xbox controllers.

My initial need was to replace my favorite controller's headphone jack. But then i saw this pack and realized i can fix my other two out of commission controller's messed up joysticks. I replaced the headphone jack last night in about 15 minutes and now it works perfectly again. I haven't worked on the other two controllers yet, and i know they are a little more involved to repair but im sure it'll be a lot better than replacing them at $90 each. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to repair their controllers. It even came with the right sized torx drivers and a little pry bar to get the side plates off the controller. Great deal!

There is a good selection of replacement parts for the Xbox One controller. I do wish it had silicone pads that go under your buttons as well. Doing at-home repairs on Xbox controllers does void any sort of warranty, so keep that in mind.

To remove the old potentiometer from the controller it would be wise to buy a reworking tool to remove the solder, otherwise you will be heating and shimming it out for a while. If you don’t have the tool it’s still possible to remove it with your iron and small plastic tools for prying just but patient and find a good YouTube video for instructions. I managed to replace it without a scope and rework tool in about 1-1/2hrs xo

everything was there and i can do all i had to do and still have plenty i highly recommend these parts

have two older Xbox one controllers in poor condition and figured I'd try repairing them to sue with my series X. While some parts may work, the bumpers that I bought this to fix are different from what was sent.
