REDSHIFT Arclight Bicycle Pedals with LED Lights, Flat Aluminum

The pedals themselves are great. Solid, smooth and grip well. But the lights make them absolutely brilliant and a must have if you commute by bike. Not cheap but worth every penny when it comes to your safety.

Great for added safety

These lights are excellent. They are very clever, and not only do they make you visible to cars, they also light up the whole area around your bike, making you feel very visible, and hence safer. I also like that they are always there - they are hidden when they’re not on so I don’t worry about leaving them on the bike when it’s parked outside. And excellent product which does exactly what it says it does, and which I would highly recommend.

The timing of the price reduction went in my favour so I couldn't resist buying a set of these pedals. I've been using them for a few weeks now and had a few comments about significantly increased visibility. For such a seemingly simple idea, they are full of subtle ingenuity. I commute on an electric bike and it would have been great if these pedals came built in as standard - an absolutely superb enhancement to safety during the dark winter months.

Although these are quite pricey, once fitted it becomes quickly apparent that they’re very bright lights. The modules clip on securely, held by magnets, and plugging them into charge is easy enough.

Pedali veramente molto belli. Realizzati benissimo sia come materiali sia come funzionamento Sono visibili da lontano al buio, ma anche di giorno in modalità lampeggio si vedono. Anche la batteria sembra durare abbastanza per un utilizzo urbano. Il loro grosso problema però stà nel fatto che essendo completamente di metallo (anche i dentini) sono molto scivolosi e fanno pochissimo attrito sotto le scarpe, specialmente nei giorni in cui l’asfalto è bagnato metti un piede a terra e quando lo rimetti su la scarpa scivola. Peccato perchè sono davvero una soluzione ottimale per l’uso in città.

Parfait!! Mon fils se rend quotidiennement au lycée en vélo et je désespérais de trouver LA solution pour qu'il roule en toute sécurité. C'est chose faite!! Top vraiment, pratique et rapide à installer , l'éclairage s avère puissant. Quand mon fils part de nuit, je distingue clairement sa présence sur la route. Par contre, de part leur installation dans les pédales, ce dispositif sert à être vu des autres usagers mais ne remplace pas une lampe sur le guidon pour éclairer la route.

WOW these pedals with the lights inside them so great, during the day I have them on the slow flash and during the evening I had them on steady, and the other night coming back on the back road, there were good number of vehicles, combined with the added flashing lights on the rear beside the built in lights for the ebike was on, I could be seen 57% more visible on the road, true, that they see in the ad, motorists were giving me a wide berth on the back road home from town. Trust me when I say....I would highly recommend these light pedals from REDSHIFT....when I get my Ace X - Demon in May 23 I would be transferring these pedals straight onto the bike....If you want to be 57 % more visible on the road, I would recommend these Arklight Pedals from REDSHIFT Taken on current e-bike the constant lighting, I use at night and the steady flash as seen in video I use during daylight hours, WOW!! They realy make you seen at night and during the day....I was on a 30 mins ride from station to home, and all can see is that motorists knew I was a pedal cyclist, due to the lighting on the bike a 2nd front and rear flashing light, a 2nd front light and of course the Redshift Pedals....I was clearly 60% more visible on the road, and motorists took a wide berth when passing.

Perhaps the best bike accessory to date. I run these on almost all (should be all) of my bikes. Visibility, safety; spot on for night or twilight riding. I get compliments and questions even in daylight hours based on how catchy they are. Battery life lasts quite some time. I do a lot of riding and they're on the fast flash all the time unless it's dark, then solid. With over 35k miles between my bikes since I've gotten these, they've been a great asset. As a pedal itself, solid build for sure. Very rigid, no play even after often standing pedaling at starts on a 150lb bike even. Unintended but testimonial of their rigidity... I had a car turn into me and scrape along almost the entire length from front wheel back. While the impact knocked me off my bike, the pedal saved me from a crush between the bike and car. My crank arm bent but not the pedal! That's reason to be thankful as-is. Strongly recommend. They don't advertise the lumens but they're bright enough for daylight - that much better at night.
