Strawberry Extract 4 oz, 4 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I purchased this product after realizing that my favorite smelling cosmetic skin care product contained strawberry extract. I was under the impression that I would receive a bottle of beautiful berry goodness, replicating the incredible strawberry smell I craveddd to incorporate into my other products.Boy, was I mistaken.When I open this bottle into okay whiff, I audibly gagged at the smell! Similar to the reminiscent of rotten fruit sitting outside in the summer... It was HORRIBLE. It was even worse that the taste was exactly like the smell.Don't cheap out on purchasing strawberry extract, like I did. If you want high quality products that are fragrant, aromatic and palatable, make sure you spend the extra dollar & choose a different brand. Because this is going exactly where it belongs... In the TRASH!

The actual label on the bottle says: "REQUIRES COOKING OR BAKING." Disregarding this clear English, the marketing in the description of this product claims otherwise. The label clearly, plainly means do not use it in smoothies or ice cream, or things that won't be heated! I bought it to use in smoothies.When I called the vendor, I was told not to believe the bottle label but instead have faith in the marketing claims. The person who answered the phone made it sound like they don't understand what the word "cooking" means. Dictionary.com says "to cook" means: "to prepare (food) by the use of heat, as by boiling, baking, or roasting; to subject (anything) to the application of heat."It's very concerning that a company making food products sold in the USA either does not understand elementary school English words or is okay lying to sell a product, or both.

I've used this in cupcakes, frosting, pancakes, and smoothies, and so far it's provided fresh, intense strawberry flavor in each item. However, it seems to carry only the sweet flavor of strawberries with none of the tart, so be sure to either reduce your sweetener or add a little acid (I like lemon juice) to balance it out.

Apparently the True Tart Sweetness of Strawberries can not come through in an Extract. There is an indescribable unpleasant taste which I believe many have associated with the alcohol used in the extraction process, however I can not confirm this . . . it just tastes unsatisfactorily.An amount you would use as if in a vanilla extract does nothing. Double up, still too weak. Triple or quadruple up, you begin to get a strawberry like taste but not without the unpleasant indescribable taste. I will certainly not buy this product again.

I'm upset that the labels for the strawberry and the banana extract look identical. There is no photo of a strawberry like shown here on Amazon. I accidentally made strawberry bread instead of banana bread. Please make the bottles look like the ones here on Amazon! Also, I'm not too hot on the flavor. The banana extract is great!

Product description lists these Ingredients: strawberry extractives, alcohol, water, and natural flavors. As you can see from the picture they did not list glycerin. It may be a natural flavor but some people cannot or don't want to use glycerin.

Item arrived in a timely manner and was very well packaged. It came securely wrapped in bubble wrap and taped. Nice size bottle and upon opening had a good seal. The aroma was great and the taste even better!!! This extract rocks! Olive nation has produced a great tasting all natural extract. I can't stand artificial extracts. A little of the strawberry extract goes a long way. I add a half teaspoon to my meal replacement shakes. You could add this to milk, baked goods, shakes, all kinds of mixed drinks, frosting well the list is endless. Highly recommend this product! Yummy

With much excitement I opened the cap, but I could not believe there was no smell at all.Why in the world this is getting such many great reviews?If you really try maybe you could get a faint smell of sugary something (definitely not strawberry).It was just like red colored water. I did not like the vivid red color either.So, I am sorry but I had to throw away.I expected so much from this reputable brand, and I was wrong.

Today Wednesday, the Strawberry extract arrived. Was expected tomorrow. Dpd lets you know. Hermes don't. Back to the product I can still taste it, and it is awful, can even taste the alcohol in it. Complete utter waste of money.

A FEW DROPS IN MY COFFEE ENCOURAGES THE AUTOPHAGY OF SENESCENT CELLS..I SHOULD ADD I'M 71 NOW, AND I DON'T WANT TO START SMELLING LIKE DEATH.

Great flavouring for Keto ice cream. Shall need more before Christmas!!

I used for making gummies. I like extracts better than bakery emulsions. When making gummies make sure alcohol has mostly cooked off, if not thee emulsion or extract will become solid and not mix in.

Not what I was expecting. I dont think it added much to my recipe, which called for it. Its all alcohol, and extremely strong.
