SubaruGenuine Front License Plate Bracket SOA342L171 for 2008-2025 Impreza Legacy Forester Outback Sti WRX Crosstrek Solterra BRZ Ascent

Product was robust with all the parts to install on a 2016 Crosstrek. The front bumper had 2 holes pre-drilled from the factory already. The hardware included 2 well nuts to be inserted into the bumber factory holes. Though, they were pretty tough to get in and a few times the nuts went into the hole completely and I had to fetch them out, I was able to get them installed and they worked great. The flange on the well nut has a small diameter and would be better if the diameter was larger by about 4mm. There were 2 sheet metal type screws that were option for screwing directly into the bumper, I chose not to use them as the spacers, well nuts, and screws held the plate on pretty well. Kit comes with 4 steel screws to fasten the license plate to the backing plate. I used all 4. Really good instructions come with it and it was super easy to install. Highly recommend kit if you do not have a front plate.

This bracket requires use of the narrower, North American license plate holes. My dealer already had drilled out these holes. I would have preferred those not be drilled, but since they were, I purchased this bracket.This is a heavy duty, powder coated, steel bracket and securely attaches to the bumper using the included self-tapping screws. The backside of the bracket has rubber stand-offs. These keep the bracket and license plate away from the bumper, preventing either from rubbing on the paint.Installation took < 5 minutes. I have had the car through the car wash several times and the bracket remains tightly attached. I also installed the dealer license plate frame around the actual plate. The I ncluded plate install hardware worked fine with this.

Fits my 2021 Forester exactly, and SUPER easy to install!

Only item keeping this from 5 stars is that the kit should include washers. The screw heads are barely large enough to hold the license plate and I had to scrounge for proper size washers to make sure the screw heads did not pull through the plate. Otherwise the installation was spot on and the bracket does the job it was designed for.

Everything was included with the Plate Bracket. All the screws that were needed to attach the plate and bracket to the car.

I bought this cause I needed to put my front plate on after getting a ticket for no front plate. The kit comes with all hardware needed to mount to the stock holes in the bumper already. Snug fit. You could probably get another mounting bracket at your local auto parts store for half the price but this fits 100% perfect and it’s made for Subarus. No need to drill extra holes or anything. It also includes instructions if you do not have pre-drilled holes from the factory.

The bracket was as described in ad. Easy to instal. Just what we needed.

Instead you’re forced to buy a horribly designed one.I installed this on a touring forester using the rubber washers and rubber compression well nuts.After everything is installed and tightened it’s just like I added a spring to my license plate. It moves when I’m driving or going over bumps. Don’t even think about trying to go to a car wash as it’ll get ripped right off of the car. I also noticed that because of the movement it actually damaged my bumper as shown in the pictures. Since it caused the paint to chip off I had to clear coat the chipped area so it doesn’t spread further. I was going to take it off over the weekend when I had time but all that bouncing around caused the tiny rubber compression well nuts that keep it attached to the bumper ripped. Luckily I was quickly able to pick up my plate from the road and screwed it straight into the bumper before I got pulled over for no front plate.As soon as I got home I took everything off and screwed my plate back on to the bumper and sent this poorly designed item back.
