Playdate for Panda

So far I own 12 of these books. I got a box set for my daughters birthday and she loved them so much I wanted to buy more. HOWEVER I noticed that the characters in these books are either MALE or labeled as just the animal. There is NOT ONE female noted character!? It's always "he" "his" never "she" "hers". Now I wouldn't mind if the characters were just labeled as their animal for example: "good job mouse!" "Monkey is sad". But to only include male pronouns and not one. single. female. pronoun is wrong! So I've taken to using a label maker to change these books to represent girls as well as boys! Very disappointing Michael Dahl doesn't include female pronouns in his CHILDREN'S books! That being said I do like the messages and simplicity of the messages these books send. They are very easy for a young children to understand!

We love Hello Genius books! My daughter started taking an interest in this line of books ever since she was a year and a half. The storeies are simple, colorful and get important skills and messages across well.

Bright colors, fun illustrations, nice short story - easy to re-read when needed. Food for active kids who don’t want to sit still to read for very long.

Toddler LOVES this series!
