Used to cover the outside AC coil unit to keep dirt/debri and mainly cottonwood seeds out of coil fins. Product works great. Easy to install and is made from quality material. Only complaint is that it lacked about 4 inches in length to cover all of the coil fin area.

Our neighbors have cottonwood trees. Our air conditioning has never worked right. We had to replace the conductor or something last year because of it and just assumed the conditioner was cleaned at that time. It was not. We opened it, cleaned it, put the permatron on and our air now works so well. I can't imagine how hard it had to work before and it did not keep our house cool when it was 85+. Now it is cool all the time. Permatron super easy to apply, we cut the length down with a scissor right there while we were putting it on. When the cottonwood gets on the Permatron, just hose her down, making sure to hold your hose in a downward fashion and the debris falls right of the Permatron. Thank you for such a good, easy product at such an affordable price, this product has literally changed our summers.

This has been very good at keeping the stupid cottonwood out of our AC unit. Just vacuum it off every day or so and you are good to go. Only thing I would ask is to include more bungee cords. I had to buy more to securely fasten the screen.

I used to actually to keep the inside of my window AC units clean, which I know will sound crazy to some people, but you should see the insides of those things: they collect dead bugs, leaves, swamp water etc. They're just nasty inside. You're technically supposed to clean them each year.But the problem is that most AC units are not designed with cleaning in mind. They are hard to open up, painful to clean (watch out for cuts), and nigh-impossible to reassemble, so after spending 8 hours taking apart, cleaning and reassembling 4 window units, I was desperate to find some other solution. Enter this Permatron wrap.This wrap is actually designed to keep dirt and pollen and bugs out of large central air units, but with scissors, a little creativity, and some duct tape, you can slice up these rolls and places them over all the venting slots in your window AC units. At the end of summer, (for those of you in cold climates) just peel away the duct tape and throw away the Permatron.It may not be the most elegant solution or the cheapest, but it beats the heck out of either spending an entire weekend cleaning window AC units or just leaving the insides of them filthy.

I picked this up for use during the spring season when cottonwood is drifting all over the place. I have no trees in my yard, but this thing captured plenty of stuff. I had to rinse off the mesh maybe 3-4 times between May and July, then took it off for hottest part of summer. Probably should have just left it on anyways. It wasn't really getting dirty later in the year like it did in the spring. I'll be using it next year. Helped keep my new AC clean.

This is my second purchase of this item. I thought I may have cut the first one too short to fit all the way around my BRYANT unit in 2014 but this second one also comes up about 5 inches short. The screen does a good job of filtering debris from the intake. I chose to install it with some magnets that I purchased via Amazon. MUCH easier than dealing with the bungees and it holds the screen much flatter as well. I chose not to trim the screen - I just tucked the excess width under the unit so it looks neat and tidy. All good BUT PLEASE, Permatron, you need to make this screen about 6 inches longer!

This material looks like it will last for several years. It had a bit of tackyness to it which seemed to help it comform to the compressor body The bungies are beefiy and keep the material snugly in place. Price seems reasonable now that I have it and it is in use. Took about 10 minutes to install as I needed to trim about 6" of material off the top of the compressor.

My outside compressor always gets gunked up with fluff and dryer vent lint. The product really works well. The picture shows captured lint and fluff after about 3 weeks. Easy to remove and wash off. Cutting and installing were very easy.
