The "tricks" are basic and unimpressive

I got this magic set to give to my kids for a Christmas present and I think they are going to have a lot of fun with it. It came as expected, in a cardboard briefcase that easily opens up with Velcro to see all the magic trick essentials. The carrying handle is a fun little bonus to make them feel more official. I have a lot of fun doing magic tricks and learning new ones. My kids love doing tricks with me and are always wanting to learn how to do them, so I think this will be really fun for them. I think the price is fair for what you get. I think the tricks will be suitable for my 7 and 9 year olds to learn. I hope that sharing my opinion and experience here provides you some value when shopping and deciding on something like this magic trick kit, if so please let everyone know below.

My 10 year old daughter pulled this out when it arrived. She immediately started fidgeting with it because she didn't see an instruction booklet and managed to break one of the items. After that, she was able to follow *most* of the instructions to make the tricks work. I had to jump in for a few of them. Her 8 yo sister was able to do some of them once she saw them performed but she has zero interest in reading the directions. I think this set has some good tricks for kids to learn and teach them sleight of hand. There were enough tricks that we haven't seen included in everything single other magic set to keep it feeling fresh and new, and some of the ones that they knew were like old friends. I really think this is a good set for kids to play around with -- my only advice is to be present when it's opened if you have a kid who will just dive in and start fiddling!

My son loved this set - the tricks are not so complicated that he can't figure them out just by reading a few instructions and then running over to show us. Lots of showy tricks that don't require a whole lot of skill, just a little practice which is ideal for a kid. We had some trouble with a few of the tricks - couldn't get the 100 dollar bill trick to work, it would just get stuck in the device, but for the most part, everything else worked as intended. Boxed nicely and really makes an impressive gift. Instructions are clear for a kid to understand on their own without much adult help.

We originally got this for my 6 year old daughter to learn magic. The directions are challenging for her so I jumped in to help and ended up learning some of the the tricks myself. Some of the directions were challenging for me to follow so the whole family ended up getting involved to try to figure them out. My favorite is the large die that splits into 4 smaller dice but the magnet came unglued after doing the trick a few times. Unfortunately there are some that we still can't figure out but overall we are really enjoying this magic set.

Says a wonderful little beginner magic set for young children. As I looked through some of them seemed rather simple to me, but my son was absolutely intrigued with the tricks. Instructions were super easy to follow so my six-year-old had no problems doing it himself, which is what he loved the most.

This is a great starter kit for those wanting to learn magic tricks. There is variety and the tricks aren't too difficult to do with some practice. I have been using this with my eight year old son who loves it! He takes the kit and practices. Then he puts on a show for me and his mom. It's been a lot of fun.. Great kit!

I like that it has a little bit of everything for beginners, since they’re not sure what kind of magic stuff they’d be interested in doing.
