This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Sturdy with a lot of room both on the shelves and in the drawers. I've put together many furniture pieces but have to admit I was intimidated by the assembly reviews so I paid the extra assembly option. The assembly person was on time, professional and had it together in about an hour and a half. I asked him if it was as difficult to put together as some stated and he did say that the instructions are hard to interpret in some areas but were not a problem for him because that's what he does. The piece is beautifully packaged but is obviously heavy. My UPS person didn't bring it up on my front porch so I had to open the box and take the pieces in one at a time. If you have someone to help you lift it I guess this isn't a problem. All in all I am very happy with this purchase.

The quality is quite good and it does look really nice. I went by the reviews about how tough it was to assemble and ordered the expert assembly from amazon. I am glad i did that as all the reviews were correct. The assembly instructions are not very good and I am sure we would not have been able to do it ourselves without damaging the piece. Even the expert who came had a tough time assembling the piece. The instructions are really not too great. But once the piece was done we were happy with the end product. The only negative is the side shelves, the are too narrow and can only accommodate not too wide sauce bottles.

It is a nice looking. Overall I like the unit. There were however some quality control issues that were a problem. The first problem was the instructions. The instructions are a few photocopied loose pieces of paper. Mine happened to be lacking the section on how to contact the company if there is a problem with your unit. The section about not returning where you bought it was there, but not not their information to resolve issues. The unit is fairly well designed. Its designed in such a way that most of the parts will only go in one way. The instructions were a little vague as to orientation in the first few steps so you had to stop and think, and look ahead so as not to start incorrectly. They use two different sizes of cams and pins and it is difficult to tell the difference in the instructions. The only way to tell the difference is to count them (there are different numbers of each size). Other than that the unit is easy and quick to build. My unit suffered from manufacturing faults. Particularly the end shelves. They are manufactured so that the shelves will only go in one way. Mine however had the cam holes drilled on the wrong side so I could only place the shelves with the unfinished side outward. The lack of a contact page in the instructions became frustrating at this point.Problems aside i do like this unit. I like the hinges and other hardware they used.

I purchased this buffet to use as a bar/cabinet for my new house. The finish goes very well with the decor of the room and the construction of the buffet is solid. My only complaint is that the instructions were rather vague, leaving the person putting the buffet together to interpret the pictures and small captions. All things considered I don't regret my purchase one bit.

I got stuck at step#3 in the assembly (what I had at that point in assembly looked different from the pictures). That’s when I started reading the reviews here to figure out other people’s experience. I was worried that the product is defective (not worried if I can assemble it though). After a good look at the pieces, I figured that the large panels in my assembly have to be flipped. Once, this step was corrected, the assembly was a breeze. The final assembly looked great and looks as expected. Took about 6 hours (didn’t use powered tools/drivers) but can be done under 2 hours if you are good and use powered screwdriver.

The media could not be loaded.  While I haven't even started to put my piece together yet, I realize that the reviews were CORRECT! I thought it wouldn't be difficult as I am always really good at putting together all of my things that require assembly as I have loved puzzles all of my life...I find it insane to have an item with so many pieces and very little instructions and drawings that are fuzzy. Yet they spent so much time detailing how to remove it from the box, attire to wear, and unnecessary instructions. There is NO way to follow the pictures as there are NO written instructions with this! We shouldn't be penalized for buying on Amazon since they chose to sell on here! I'm now hiring someone to assemble it and the professional has said that the instructions are all wrong, the fuzzy ones that they have...which I figured just by eyeballing it. F- screws DO NOT go into piece 2 to 3&4 as it's wood and regular screws in a hole too large for the screws and nothing to screw in! Missing the end cap metal bars. Don't know who to contact.

I just got this piece and assembled it today. All parts were numbered (some barely though and there is no distinction between the number 6 and the number 9) and all parts and hardware were in the box. Rating 2 stars because of the incredibly horrible instructions, just horrible, they're just photocopies and every other page had a vertical streak on them. No detail in the illustrations, extremely difficult to tell what hardware item goes where based on the illustrations, most is left up to guessing, no indication of orientation of pieces (front/back). I did happen to come across the issue with the bottom piece being backwards as there is no indication on the instructions about orientation. I did catch it in time and turned it around. Unfortunately, by the time I got to the doors, I noticed that the side pieces are reversed so I have no holes towards the front to mount the hinges. Now I have to basically disassemble the majority of the piece to swap the sides, or drill new holes instead, will decide in the morning which route to take. Bottom line, these guys should go to Ikea school to learn how to write assembly instructions. However, the finish and look of the piece is alright, not exactly as shown in the pictures, it's actually darker and closer to black.

I have received it very quickly, and is exactly as on the picture, a perfect addition to my kitchen. I was a bit intimidated with the number of pieces that were in the package, but the instructions were easy to follow, and I did it all by myself! - it took me 6 hours though, but it was worth it.

Beautiful. I would suggest using an electric drill for assembly though. Took us 7 hours to put together with regular screwdrivers. Instructions are easy to read and follow.

A little complicated to put together but otherwise great look/style and so far no issues with it.

The item needs full assembly. The instructions are terribly vague. The measures are accurate but it is not as spacious. I doubt if the tiny steel pins holding the racks can bear heavy chinawares.There were some scratches on the surface but I am not going to return the item for that.
