Chinese product
I use these as agitators for paint and it's definitely more for less. I don't like buy items from China when they could be made locally.

May be magnetic, but still work as paint agitators
I’ve ordered these twice to use as agitators in small pots of acrylic paints (Citadel & Army Painter). The first batch wasn’t magnetic at all when exposed to some large neodymium magnets. They also showed no signs of corrosion after a couple weeks in salt water and white vinegar (two separate bottles). The second batch was magnetic. Not a lot, but enough that I could move them around and pick some up with a magnet. Fearing the worst I did the same salt water/vinegar corrosion test and left a few in each jar for 2 months. I may have forgotten about them.Luckily there was no corrosion so I feel confident that they’ll be ok in my newer paint pots.Anyway, I hope this helps any mini painters out there looking for agitators.

Has chemicals
I don’t dislike the item. I’m returning it because it cannot be used for blind baking for pie crusts. It has dangerous chemicals in it.

Slightly magnetic stainless.
I left a pretty negative review on these at first, because they were slightly magnetic. Well upon further research on 304 and 316 stainless, I’m updating my review. Now these are magnetic, but NOWHERE near as magnetic as pure carbon steel. That being said upon researching magnetism in 304 & 316 stainless, both stainless metals start out non-magnetic. BUT they can become magnetic, when welded, and cold worked. So these may be 304 and they may not. There’s no real way to tell unless you get it analyzed. But they are pretty good looking bearings, and are only slightly magnetic. A good strong earth magnetic will grab them, but nowhere near the strength straight carbon steel will. You can pull the magnetic off of these really easily, unlike standard steel. So to sum it up, I’m pretty happy overall now. I do believe these are stainless that has been cold worked altering their magnetic properties a bit.But only time will tell for sure.

Used as mixing balls for appx 2 oz craft paint bottles.
I tried different stainless balls. The problem with them was I selected the wrong size and they did not have enough mass to be effective. (my error in choosing too small of a ball bearing)These larger balls are looking to be the correct size. They can be felt rattling in the bottle, where the smaller ones got stuck in the settled pigment.I am using these in "The Army Painter Warpaint" brand paints, which are a bit difficult to get mixed properly without a ball in the bottle to aid in agitation.

Great to mix ink
I'm using these to help break up and mix metallic calligraphy inks. They separate when they sit. They have worked GREAT for this purpose. I'm also going to add one to any nail polish that doesn't have one already. They're a slightly larger size than what comes in nail polish, but that works better for the ink.

Great for heating to a red hot temp and dropping into Mountain Dew
The media could not be loaded. I run a youtube channel where I do experiments (and photography), and I heated some of these up and dropped them into stuff. For that, they worked flawlessly. I will say they are very uniform, very shiny, and definitely metal.

Perfect fit for rear Shimano hub!
I did an overhaul of the rear shimano bicycle hub that had become loose. It fits perfectly. There are only 18 used with the rear hub. I didn’t count all 100 pieces but they must be included in the plastic bag.
