Gustaf's Sweet Licorice Buttons (2.2Lb(1kg))

so if you are Dutch, or know anything about Dutch licorice, you know what I mean!!! Very pleased with this purchase and we got it in time for Sinterklaas. The drop was fresh and chewy and, well, lekker!!!! My only complaint is that the actually bag is a little flimsy and had a hole in it immediately, so I had to put it in a sealed jar to keep it fresh.

brings back memories of going with my dad to Sears and Roebucks ( I wonder what happened to Roebuck ) and my dad stopping at the candy/peanut booth and getting licorice button. This is the best black licorice ever. even my kids who " only like red licorice " enjoyed this ....and FYI ..red licorice is not " licorice " at all. it is simply candy

I was expecting quality semi hard licorice buttons but these are small and have a sugary texture.
