A Thread Across the Ocean

For me this book filled a gap. Having found loose bits of information here and there, this book tells the whole story, and it reads as a true adventure story. History writing as it should be. The book has a lot of black&white illustrations to help out with the often technical information.

Good account of early pioneers. Persisted despite many problems but succeeded in the end. An easy read. I recommend it.

A brilliant book about a little known subject that changed the world.

This was a gift as the book is very very hard to source.

This book isn't about crochet. But I still enjoyed it.
