The machine cools nicely and is quiet. Compact and comes with what you need to vent. All great. BUT the instruction booklet needs to be rewritten. Trying to figure out how to operate it isn't so easy. The display is easy enough to read but getting it to do what you want is not. I want it to maintain the temperature but can't get it to do so. It is cooling, and it is difficult to change the temperature setting. It pops in and out of mode too fast. I go to try and +/- and it pops out of edit mode. The company has only sale pitches online for videos but Nothing about operational setting.

Having it installed in the guest room and ran about two weeks now. Pretty happy about the performance and quality.It was easy to install by the window with the included attachment. It cools down area Pretty fast. Easy to operate with the remote as well. Great portable size doesn't make much noise.Overall,it's a great value for money.

I bought this unit last summer and it ran great. I installed the unit this year and after only 2 days of use, the “FT” (water drain sensor) will not go away and the unit does not blow out any air. This thing is useless to me.

This unit handles the downsides of portable ACs well: relatively small and lightweight. Easy to install. Not too loud. It cools my bedroom well.

Pretty easy to install. Works OK but not great. It cools off a smaller room but isn’t that noticeable in our living room. Also drains a lot of water and needs to be dumped frequently so we can’t leave on when we leave the house. Overall it’s ok, but our window unit worked much better.

One of my 250 SQ FT bedroom is always hot, Gostway portable air conditioner 800 BTV is a perfect fit to it, and cool this room in no time. This air conditioner keeps this room comfortable and cool all day. This unit has 4 modes, including ventilating, drying, air cooling, and sleep modes, I can use it all year round. it's efficiency, and highly recommend.

It is very portable, the only thing is that the area from where the air comes is very small so it takes longer to cool down a small room, overall a really good price/quality ratio.It makes some noise but nothing that would stop you from being able to sleep well, it also has a sleep mode which is more silent.

I bought this to replace a 6000 BTU Danby model that had a failed compressor after two-three years.I am using it in a medium-sized one bedroom basement apartment, and it works great.I was able to get it set up with no problem, and it keeps the living room very cool when it is 30+ Celsius outside, and with proper fan placement I can also cool down the other rooms in the apartment including the kitchen. My only minor complaint is that the hose attachment is a little flimsy. I have attached Gorilla tape to secure the plastic attachments to the tube at either end to make it more secure and airtight.The sound is what can be expected when the fan is set to high but one becomes used to it.The best part is that this unit is self-evaporating, so unless you have extremely high humidity every single day you will need not to empty the water reservoir.Also be aware that Costway does not allow customers to purchase parts separately which was disappointing, as I wanted to purchase an extra hose and airfilters.Overall I am very happy with this purchase, it has really improved my comfort and well-being after my prior unit from Danby was failing.

this air conditioner change my whole summer. work very good since last year.

So far a very nice machine. Compact, very quiet keeps our 20 X 14 living room comfortable when its + 32 C outside. Took 20 minutes tounpack, install the window kit and have running. If it lasts a few years I will consider the money well spent.
