I play tug with my German Shepherd all the time and these toys are absolutely great for that purpose! Other stuff like ropes do the job but they eventually get frayed and too hard to get a good grip on. The bite portion is just thick enough where my dog can get a good bite on it, it's very durable (so far) and the handles are good enough (could be a bit more comfortable) and can take a beating. I noticed that both me and my dog (me especially) play considerably harder tug of war using these because they're so much more attuned to that purpose - I get a good grip and so does my dog and we can really thrash around with no worry of the product being destroyed (again, so far). I would recommend highly if your dog likes to play tug.

I've used these quite a bit as a training tool- I put the tugs away as soon as we are not actively playing. They have held up very well, no wear yet, and the handles are great for a good game. Wears me and the dog out quickly! Great quality, happy they were available on Amazon for easy shipping. Recommended but use for training only- these are not a chew toy!

My Corgi puppy loves these and loves the webbing tugs! He likes chewing on the webbing straps on bags and things, and this is a great safe substitute!Update: He continues to love playing with this and chewing on it and it's stood up where lots of other toys have started to pull apart. It's also been great for catch!Update 2: Four months in and he still loves these things and they've stood up to all his chewing!

Got these for my 4 month old German Shepherd Puppy. She was nipping/biting us a lot, so these were really for the kids to carry around to divert her from biting them. After a lot of work, she's not biting anymore so now we use these for playing tug of war. They are very sturdy and have stood up to her sharp puppy teeth well. Hoping for many more bouts of tug of war.

This product is NOT for chewing. It might be okay for a short, supervised play period. But left alone with it, a dog will destroy this in 5 minutes if they're avid chewers like a Malinois.

I use tug as a reward for my working Search and Rescue dog, so these toys take a lot of abuse. So far they have stood up well! The handles are soft, which is nice for people tugging with him, if they don't use gloves (which is a result of my dog's intensity, not the toy). I only wish it wasn't asphalt colored. He carries it back to the truck as his reward, then drops it before loading up into his crate. I just know one of these days I'm going to overlook it and leave it behind!

I'm using the tug toy as a training tool for a very high drive Doberman who is less interest in food than most. The toy has gone through some hard use and is standing up like a champ.

Our female german shepherd loved the tug toy! The trainer had used his with her so we thought it wise to continue to use it with her. She loved it so much that she chewed through the strap in the first 5 minutes of use. Hard to "ding" an item she loved but if it can't stand up to normal use, I can't recommend it. Need to contact the manufacturer to see about repair/replacement.
