This works well. As long as the lid and the jar are clean, and the lid fits, it seals pretty quickly, often on the first two pumps. It pumps easily. I found that the lids that don't seal tend to be the wrong lid for that jar. Some canning lids don't go with some jars. It's best to use the lids that came with the jar if you can.

Best useful product I’ve bought in a long time. The top part is easy to get on and off the jars, the suction so far is keeping everything inside fresh. I only use the manual pump cause i don’t have the machine to use the tubes with. This is gonna save me a lot of money in the long run cause I eat a lot of foods pretty slow.

It will not work on my vacuum sealer and the hand held vacuum sealer don’t work like I hoped!

Loved that this was not too expensive and does exactly what I needed it for. Very handy!

It was not strong enough. The jar sealed but it did not take the air out if the jar.

Easier to use then electric version, very handy when I'm in a hurry. Great when without power

UPDATE: I have managed to seal jars with this only to have them unseal within 2 days to a week. Sometimes I actually hear the pop from the kitchen. The jars are storing dry foods, no moisture, not a very warm room but not cold. There's nothing that should be making them unseal.I waited too long to try it out. By the time my jars were full of dehydrated vegetables, ready to be sealed, it was beyond the return date for Amazon. Waste of time and money and now I have to look for another non-electric option. Does not seal jars of either size. If I hear it seal, the problem is getting the jar topper off without opening get jar! It's impossible. It either does not seal the jar or it opens the jar, breaking the seal, no matter how carefully I remove the top piece.
