Old age isn't for Sissies!
What a joy! Wonderful Elder pictures. Makes me think of a story a teacher told about having "old people day" at school, and most kids on canes and acting stereotypically. One boy came dressed in a bright shirt and shorts and said he was enjoying his retirement! These are loving images, full of surprising and outrageous outfits. Wish they would make more like this.

Total delight
As an adult colorist, I greatly enjoyed this coloring book which was different from any I've ever had before. It features seniors, most of whom seem to be a bit on the eccentric side. They were quite individualistic and each one quite different. The pictures are large and quite easy for anyone to color. I mostly used crayons, highlighting with markers that were non-bleed through. The coloring book costs about double what I usually pay for one, but I am glad I purchased it since it was one I had not had before and since it proved to be such a delight to color. I even wrote brief little scenarios about each individual, giving him or her a name and writing my impression of the individual, which added to my fun.

On the skimpy side...
I really liked the idea of coloring book and paper dolls for seniors. Thought it would be a fun item for a friend under the Christmas tree. The booklet is so thin that I left it unopened for weeks, assuming it was the insurance coverage papers for an electronic item I purchased (yes, THAT thin). I found the paper dolls on the back cover to be the most appealing, but in the end returned them.

Awesome for mature artists!
One of my favorites even though the pictures are printed on both sides and look like a kids color book. Maybe because of my age I can relate!

Fun Coloring Book!
I liked it! I think if two pages were dedicated to each personality it would have been better. A full picture of the person and the second page could show that person's favorite fashion items, shoes, jewelry, bracelets, accessories, hats, bags, belts etc, all in a grouping! Or feature a different outfit. Would I buy again? Probably!

Double Sided Pages-ugh
The coloring pictures in Advanced Style are good-they even have a man in a kilt. However, I was disappointed that the coloring pages were double sided. I've purchased adult coloring books at K-mart for much less that were single sided and perforated. I've even purchased single sided coloring books at The Dollar Tree.

Inspirational
I really like the pictures in this coloring book. The book features elderly people in very inspirational poses and clothing. This book celebrates the beauty and grace that is sometimes forgotten with growing old. That being said, the pictures are on old school construction type paper. That's a huge con in my book. It reminds me of coloring as a a child. You cannot layer too well on this paper without disrupting the integrity of the paper and in turn creating a very patchy finished product. I still like the work I did in this book. I just wish it wasn't reminding me of an old school mickey mouse coloring book from when I was 10.

Advanced Style presents fun, quirky older adults in a respectful portrayal
I purchased this for an elderly lady with dementia who has recently been introduced to colouring as a pastime she can still accomplish. Many of the new adult colouring books are very intricate, posing a problem with precision when hand-eye coordination and sight are both in jeopardy. Childrens' colouring books are insulting. Advanced Style presents fun, quirky older adults in a respectful portrayal, and with spaces big enough to see and aim at...perfect!

This is a very thin and cheaply produced book. The paper is just as cheap as children's colouring in books, which is disappointing. I expected something with more style particularly since it is a book about style. The drawings are nice and they are based on the pictures that you find on the website. If had seen this and felt the paper I would not have bought it.
