Works amazingly
Comes in a tin and it’s the perfect size to also put my portafilter extender thingy in too .. comes with 2 picks and can swap and change as I wish and leaves the coffee machine head all clean as espresso isn’t touching it .. amazing

That's dam fine coffee...
The media could not be loaded. I was a little apprehensive about these coffee pucks. I wasn't sure they'd improve my routine full caffeinated double espresso ritual but they have proved to be a hit for me and my wife. They simply slot on top of your freshly ground beans allowing you to evenly press the grinds down and compress them to aid the brewing process. Additional benefit that your coffee machine doesn't need cleaning as much! The resulting espresso seems to have been improved through the process - possibly due to the pucks dispersion of water more evenly through the grinds. Whatever it is it's a winner for me! ☕⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☕

Improves distribution which may help with less than perfect pucks or older/ cheaper coffee machines
The Gocoffun Espresso Puck Screen 58.5mm fits just fine into my Sage Oracle Pro’s basket. I can't easily validate this, but I believe the machine has a good water distribution through the portafilter screen; and I clean it weekly. My callipers show it is a uniform 1.72-1.78mm deep – so you may need to use less coffee in your basket if you have been filling it – to leave space before your screen.Using the screen slowed my machines coffee flow about 9% over 6 shots when running 30s timed shots.; though the grounds after using it did show a more even surface. The slower extraction rate due to the flow change may also be useful for people that want to try lighter roastsI switched my tamp to be less compressed to encourage channelling in normal circumstances and in this case the puck after using the screen was in a much better state; there was still areas that had collapsed but not as bad as when I ran without the screen. Those results make me think it does a good job distributing the water more evenly. If you have sharply attuned taste buds these screens should improve your coffee experience. I also think that if you are newer to making espresso that they will reduce the impact of a poorly compressed puck.Cleaning the puck after used required a toothbrush but only a few seconds to complete. My covid ruined taste buds didn’t notice a huge change in taste from my good manual puck. If you have a cheaper espresso machine these may help offset the machines water distribution. On my machine it made the biggest impact when I deliberately created a poorer puck, it made the best difference in the result; the coffee was more balanced. These are a tool I feel the need to use day to day; but that they can help with less well-prepared coffee pucks likely makes then a good way to even things out when you are learning.

My machine bends it .
I have very expensive Italian machine Bezzera Crema with standard size portafilter but machine makes a dent in the middle of these filters every single time .

Perfect for a coffee fan like me.
The Espresso Puck Screen 58.5mm is a stainless steel mesh that you place on top of your coffee grounds after tamping. It helps distribute water evenly over your coffee puck and prevents channelling and uneven extraction. It also keeps your showerhead clean by preventing coffee grounds from sticking to it.Some benefits of using this puck screen are:It improves your espresso quality and consistency by reducing fines migration and promoting even extraction. It is easy to clean and maintain. You just need to rinse or wipe it dry after each use.It is compatible with most precision filter baskets that support 58.5mm diameter, such as VST, IMS, E&B Lab and Pullman. Some drawbacks of using this puck screen are:It may not fit well with some machines that have screw heads protruding from the original shower screen. You may need to replace the original shower screen with a flat screw or reduce your coffee dose.It adds an extra step to your espresso preparation process. You need to place it carefully on top of your coffee puck before locking in your portafilter. It may affect your brew ratio and extraction time if you do not adjust your grind size accordingly.Overall, I think this puck screen is a useful tool for home baristas who want to improve their espresso quality and consistency. However, it may not suit everyone’s preferences and workflow.

Improves consistency - an amazing, must have tool.
The improvements this tool has made to the consistency of my shots is nothing short of remarkable. It ensures the water hits the puck evenly and it has removed any channeling since using it. I've been ending the shots with the cleanest and most perfect pucks I've ever experienced. I've really tasted the difference too.Normally I might get 1 in 10 shots that come out close to what this produces but it's usually just luck. This has been consistently amazing for me and I can't believe I've gone this long without one. You'll need to make sure you get the right size, as if it's not perfect it probably won't work at all. I've used mine on a 58.5mm portafilter with a vst 18g basket. It's so simple to use - just simply prepare your portafilter as usual and then pop this over the top of the puck once you have tamped.Rinses of easily under the tap.The only very minor annoyance is I'm used to emptying the puck straight into the bin with a big 'whack' on the side. Obviously this will fall out and you'll be fishing it out the bin, but you'll soon find a technique that works for you to avoid this problem. It's well worth it.If you have a pressurised portafilter (check the specs of your machine) I'm not sure this would really make that much difference. But if you use a traditional portafilter and basket I encourage you to try this.
