Best ATO for the money, hands down!
This ATO had two features that sold me on trying it over the competition (which I am already using in another tank, and that I paid almost double for); an extra safety feature where it calculates the total water volume of your tank to ensure it doesn’t overfill, and an LED indicator light. Additional overflow safety features are always appreciated, especially at this price point! The LED indicator was an interesting inclusion though, and one that, while it sold me on buying this model, may turn out to be a design flaw in the end. Depending on the wavelength of light emitted, it could cause algae growth on the sensor, triggering an overflow (that should be stopped by the numerous other safety features). This risk can be minimized with occasionally cleaning the lens, and I felt the risk was worth the benefit of installing knowing the status of my ATO. My reservoir isn’t clear (for many reasons), so knowing when it was empty used to require removing the lid, or waiting to hear the alarm from my ATO, but now, I have an LED indicator light telling me when it’s time to fill the reservoir (and warning of other potential issues)! Only time will tell if the led grows algae. All in all, it was easy to setup, and works as expected, and I have zero complaints!

Best ATO I have!
Once I got this in the mail, I tested it out pretty extensively. Used a couple 5 gallon buckets, hooked everything up, and tested everything I could think of. Once I figured out everything, I decided to hook it up to my 55 as it is the one tank that has evaporation problems the most.It has been hooked up for almost a week now, and I have had no problems so far.The pump is stronger than you would think, it pushes the water from the bottom of my bucket to the top of my tank no problem. The sensor works very well, and notices low water level instantly. Through my testing, it also notices when the water level has reached the sensor no problem and I have no worry of overflow.I am going to put this on my 240 gallon soon, since it has a sump/overflow system.I would recommend this product 100%!

Great ato for a great price!!
I was very worried about installing an ato on my tank with the fear of malfunction and overfilling the tank. After 8 months of topping off by hand every day I gave this unit a shot after getting good feedback about it. I have been running it for about 3 weeks on my 20g nano reef and I am very impressed. It has worked flawlessly. The sensor is very accurate and the pump is more powerful than expected and quiet. My only suggestion for improvements would be a little clearer instructions on set up and a little stiffer line from pump to tank. I was a little unclear about initial placement of sensor but figured it out once I saw the initialization process it goes through when first plugged in. Line has a little kink where it attaches to mount. Still pumps without issue. I highly recommend this ato. I don’t miss topping off by hand daily.

Great For Nano Reef Tank
I installed this on my office IM 40 gallon AIO Fusion reef tank. I was getting tired of adding a pitcher of water to it every day and didn't want to spend a lot of money on an auto top off system. This is a very simple, no frills solution that works well--particularly if you have limited space for a reservoir. The pump is tiny but easily transports water from the cabinet beneath the tank up into the back of the tank. The mounting hardware works well, keeping the hose secured to the back. Installation was straightforward and I had it installed and running in about 10 minutes. I have had it running for a couple of weeks now and so far it has worked very well. I do have a couple of critiques. Unless you have an absolutely wave-free area where you can mount the optical sensor disc you will need to tinker with the sensor until you find the "sweet spot." And if you have to move it after you have it running, you will need to unplug the sensor and then plug it back in--this acts as a sort of a "re-boot." A pause/feeding timeout feature would be handy and might prevent this. The sensor itself has two little pointed projections, one above the other, separated by a low point/trough. When the the water level is in that trough the system shuts off. When the water gets below that trough it turns back on. The sensor seems to need to be placed so that those projections are vertical, not horizontal--so depending on your cord management you may need to get creative so that the cord for the sensor doesn't cause the sensor to turn to a horizontal position. In spite of these minor issues I have given 5 stars, because I still think the manufacturer has done a great job keeping the system small and easy to install.

Perfect for my tank!
I could not have been happier with this ATO!It has been very helpful for water top offs as well as for water changes. It is very accurate with the cut off and I have it now plugged in to my 90P.During water changes, I just let the pump sit in my bucket and have the sensor sit at the level I want it to stop filling. It has a small magnet so I dont need anything beyond the product itself for it to function. It also has a check valve to prevent water from flowing back which is very neat and convenientIt is compact and sleak and pretty so it does not spoil the look of my tank and I have it setup now to be in the tank at all times!
