Not all gun magnets the same
I know, gun magnets are gun magnets -- whats the big deal. I thought that until I got these. Compared to the LIRISY 2PCS Gun Magnet Mount, I would have to rate all those cheap magnets that look like the end of a 20 gauge at a three star. I find 3 major differences. 1st - these magnets will grab your Glock right out of your hand. There is NO slippage what-so-ever. Those old cheap magnets could allow your pistol to rotate (magnet on side) and then you got problems. In fact, the biggest problem I had with these was it grabbing my drill during installation. 2nd - This may seem like a small thing, but it came with 16 screws and 8 drywall anchors. Yah, I know, we all have a cache of screws and anchors but I didn't have to go looking for the right ones. They matched up perfectly. 3rd - This is just me, but the attention to detail, the way they are boxed, the included screws, the ease of install, are very important to me. You can tell when people take pride in their product and it makes me feel it will not only work better but last longer. I'm over cheap gun magnets and will probably replace many with these.

Great versatility
Ordered 2 of these (4 magnets total) I knew of two places I wanted to try them and had another two places in mind. The first place I wanted one was in a concealment clock I had received (Product linked) Peace Keeper Tall Rectangular Working Clock Gun Concealment Diversion Safe The clock has plenty of space for my P226 RX with Tac Light, extra mag and 4 twenty round boxes of ammo, but there was no way to solidly secure the pistol from tipping forward, should the table be bumped, and thus giving away the hidden compartment. So, I affixed a magnet to the back panel inside the clock compartment and problem solved. My 226 hangs solidly inside the compartment and is easily retrievable if needed. The magnet is low profile and flexible, yes, it bends just like rubber, and it has great holding power. I put two of them together and really had to put some effort into pulling them apart. I haven't yet placed the other 3 magnets, but am planning one for the wife's Jeep and the other two on the bed frame, one on each side of our bed. Great buy here folks, very versatile.

FYI
This product is very well made and very well packaged. The magnets are extremely strong and will easily hold any pistol every made. Two things though: if, when removed from the box, when checking the two magnets out, be very careful not to put both magnets sides facing each other together, or close to each other, when they clamp together it is like they get welded together and extremely difficult to break them loose. The way they are boxed, with the backsides facing each other, (done so for a good reason) Secondly, although I haven’t mounted them yet, for the strength of the magnets and with the weight of a pistol the mounting screws are, too me, tiny to hold the magnets and removing the pistol for use using a wood service only. Very good manufactured product

Easily holds an 870 express on the wall
Mounted to the wall with a thin rubber spacers between the magnets and the wall, to allow clearance of the pump on an 870 express. There was just a tiny bit of rub from the pump on the wall that was eliminated with a piece of rubber matting under the magnet. The screws went through the rubber easy and in to the wall with enough bite to hold. These magnets were perfect for my application. In the second pic, you can see the thin rubber material. These magnets give a lot of applications to where I can store my firearms. Love them.

Good but...
Magnet is good - strong enough for my MK9 by the bed and for my G2C in the car. I doubt even a speed bump will shake it loose. My complaint is the screws and hole diameter. Screws are absolute crap. Throw them out. I tore up the head after six turns of the driver.Problem is, the hole is so small and with a tiny countersink on the hole, you will have difficulty finding a perfect screw. For now I put panheads on mine. As yes I am worried about scratching my firearms, I will hopefully be able to find better screws.

My Favorite Pistol Magnetic Mount
I have purchase three different magnetic mounts...1st - 35 pound rated similar to this one, rubber coated, but the magnets are weak, about half the pull of the 25#!2nd - 25 pound that works really good, but the plastic cover might be hard on my pistol, the release is not that easy and no mounting hardware.3rd - This Lirisy Mount and it's my favorite. Mounting hardware included, holds my Glock 19 firmly and easy release. The rubber exterior protects my pistol and I believe it contributes to the easy release compared to the plastic 25# mount. Because of the earthquake zone I'm in, I secured the mount temporally, with my Glock attached, simulated sever shaking and it held fast. I have these in my safe and on my night stand.

Don't use the screws they send with this!
Scratched the crap out of a $1300 handgun because their hardware didn't countersink properly into the rubber. I replaced them with cabinet screws and put black silicone on the heads. Frankly, this is a stupid design to begin with. The rubber should cover the screws.
