While this drain appears physically well constructed, it has a critical design flaw. The flange for attachment of the waterproofing membrane sits 1/2" BELOW the level of the drain body, so that moisture which reaches the waterproofing will be trapped in the pan structure, unable to flow into the drain. This will inevitably lead either to water damage below the pan if the water finds another way out, or mold issues in the saturated grout and mortar below the pan if it doesn't. I returned this drain and recommend that until this design flaw is remedied it should not be used in shower construction, particularly over any inhabited space.

The Shower Drain kit arrived promptly and appears to be well made. I haven't installed the drain as yet since it is part of larger remodel; but it looks like it will produce an effective and attractive alternative to the traditional drain that it will be replacing. It seems a little pricey at first; but the parts are all nicely finished and fit together well.

LOVE IT!! It is tucked away under the seat in the shower our of sight, yet very efficient.

This drain installs nicely, but is not for a beginner. The rubber grommet makes for a very tight fit. The weep holes are not blocked by the grommet either.

Bought this drain to accommodate a double shower plus rainfall in our renovated bathroom. We haven't given it a test run yet but it looks beautiful.
