Durable
This thing feels like it's built to last. Very durable. I actually use this to hold a generic rifle dot laser on my parking lot striping machine and it works beautifully. The rubber pads help prevent it from moving which is crucial in my line of work to ensure accuracy when painting the lines. I've bought 2 and plan on getting more as I have multiple machines.

Too heavy for my pochade box for plein air
It's too heavy to use to attach an umbrella to the pochade box. Its a good product and quite versatile, but for my purposes, it's too heavy. You can use it to attach the umbrella to the tripod itself, but that can protect your painting from the rain but you won't be able to paint under it.
