Super smooth camera Slider
The media could not be loaded. The app is very easy to use and the slider comes pre assemble, quick and easy to set and go.

Great value for money
For the money, the quality of what you get is great. The only let down is that the angle of camera rotation isn't controlled via the app - it's a strange system where you adjust the angle of the centre bar, then lock it back down into place. This means that getting shots lined up is a bit of fiddly trial and error, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.Another strange quirk (at least with mine) is that after using the rail on manual, even if I've set a range for the automatic loop, it refuses to loop. To fix this I have to unpair then repair the device with the app. This only takes a second or two, but it remains an annoyance.I bought the stabiliser arms as well, and I'm glad I did. This makes it more easier for one person to pick up and move the rail with a camera on, but there is a knack to mounting these as well; all the pictures show the arms connecting to the tripod legs - DON'T do this - it's unstable, and the rail will move when the sled gets to the end of its excursion. Instead, connect the arms to the tripod centre column - this makes for a much sturdier and compact setup. The battery life is great as well - seems to go for ever. Another gotcha I should point out is that straight out of the box, the serrated belts the sled moves along needed tightening; I was about to pack the thing up and send it back as it was stuttering along, but as soon as I tightened the belts, everything was fine.Overall, a great bit of gear that will give you some really impressive shots. Do be aware that the audio from the camera on the rail will pick up the motor (even with a mounted shotgun mic), so if it's a quiet interview scene, make sure you have a mic that is well away from the rail.

Put your film making up a notch.
The media could not be loaded. I'm super impressed with this item. The manufacturer description doesn't really do justice to the creative opportunities this thing gives you, and I'm very much enjoying experimenting with it.At its most basic, this thing is just a sliding rail system that you attach your camera to. The slider will move your camera from one end to other, smoothly. Stated like that, it seems a bit pointless, but the power comes with the fine control. You can set it to move perfectly straight, or to rotate as it moves keeping a single object in shot. Lastly, you can move linearly while having the view rotate left to right. You can adjust speed and also have it move back and forth, or start slowly and speed up as it goes. It's extremely smooth in use and my camera's internal microphone picked up only the barest noise from the slider motors and nothing intrusive. The build quality is excellent and it oozes quality. There are no rough edges or poorly finished items. There are standard tripod head screws all over the thing, so you have lots of options on how to set this up plus strategically placed bubble levels to get things straight. If you've even wanted to do those David Attenborough nature documentary styled tracking shots, then this is perfect. The attached video was about ten minutes work and is straight from the camera with just a few cuts. No post stabilising or sound editing, and gives you an idea of the things you can do with this. The slider also comes with shutter release cables for most major camera brands, except for Olympus - which I use. A shame for me, but still a very generous extra that makes this item ready to go for stop motion photography and the like. The whole thing is pretty big, but comes in a very well padded bag. Set up from bag to pressing record depends on how complex you want your set up to be, but at a basic level you can be up and running in minutes.Set up is very quick and easy, and although the included instructions are pretty basic it's very simple to use. Tighten the transmission belt, and you're ready to go. The app is easy to use and very comprehensive with lots of modes and features. I'm still playing with it. It arrived with a charged battery and ready to go, and I was up and filming in a few minutes.I'm delighted with it, and it opens up a whole area of film making and creative photography for me. Brilliant item.

Essential for online product photos/videos
If I could give this six stars I would. It is an incredibly well engineered piece of photography equipment that is essential for online e-commerce listing photos and videos. It comes with a well made protective carry case and in my case was already assembled, all I needed to do was tighten the pulley belt and attach the camera holder. To get it working you need to download the app, there are in fact two apps from Neewer, I downloaded both as the second one is for taking photos with a mobile which is really handy. Connecting the camera slider to the Bluetooth on my phone took a few attempts but once paired it instantly paired every time afterwards. The instructions for use are very basic but to be fair once I had got the idea of how to use the slider I understood why the instructions appeared so limited, it’s more a case of using it and the abilities of your camera so practice is the key and dosent need allot of practice to master. The engineering of this slider is superb, the main rods are made from carbon fibre and the legs are adjustable. There are tiny spirit levels to ensure you have it straight and everything screws securely and safely. The operation of the slider is very simple through the app and when it moves it’s virtually silent and extremely smooth, absolutely no jerking or shaking. Right now in the e-commerce world product photography is everything and video in listings is becoming more and more popular. This slider enables both fantastic stills and product videos to be done very easily using just one piece of equipment.

A little overpriced for what it does.
Item is fiddly to setup, I had to order 2 stand adaptors so that I could easily mount and dismount it from the lighting stands without having to unscrew the stands every time. Also the app keeps disconnecting after every pass - and haven't been able to get this to work properly at all - Thought it would make getting panning shots more stable and professional - but I think the gimbal is sufficient for my needs and once set-up, quicker than setting this up. Also mounted on lighting stands - it really needs the extra optional support legs to it any where near stable - which would further increase the set-up time to use this thing.
