Q: What pecard product is best to use with l.l. bean boots; specifically to soften the leather?

Our Classic Leather Dressing is the product we recommend for this application. Use of the dressing will condition, preserve and protect the leather. The leather will become softer and flexible while providing excellent weather/water proof protection. Thank you for your enquiry.

Q: What are the instructions?

For the Leather Lotion you will want to apply it with a lint free cloth. Allow 3-5 minutes for the lotion to absorb into the leather before taking a clean lint free cloth and buffing off any extra. Follow up treatments should be done every 4-6 months depending on usage.

Q: Should it be used before applying dressing?

No, it is not necessary to apply the lotion prior to use of the dressing. Either can be used as a stand alone product. The lotion can be applied to both non-coated and coated leather, the dressing is for non-coated leather only.

Q: Is this a water based?

Yes, this conditioner uses water as the carrying agent for the remaining formulation.
