Q: Is this good to use on calfskin leather boots?

As long as the leather is oil tanned, yes, you can use the boot and shoe oil on calfskin. The oil may darken lighter colored leather so if this is something you would want to avoid, it would be better to use the Pecard Leather Dressing.

Q: I still have a tub of their original leather dressing. How does this compare? Is this thinner? Is their other product not safe on leather boots?

yes, it is a lot thinner and runs. I treat all my hunting boots and snowmobiling boots that are full leather with the, never leave product. It's the best I have ever had wet feet. I also use the dressing, it is a very good leather conditioner.
