I use for grinding nutmeg, cloves, cumin, coriander, cardamom and other Indian seeds. It is small and smooth and sturdy. Perfect to use, not too heavy for arthritic hands. Too pretty to put away, I keep it on the counter next to knife block for as always in use. Would make a perfect gift as it comes beautifully packaged.

This mortar and pestle were larger and better quality than expected and have worked very well for lots of things, including crushing fresh cloves of garlic (which past mortars of mine have struggle with). One thing to be aware of - because this is porous stone, avoid using soap to clean it. Hot water is good enough.

I was pleasantly surprised by this procuct. It is just the right size for cruching spices for making curry. Really easy to clean. However, I would recommend drying it immediately after washing. It looks good too.

I absolutely love the design and weight and it’s not too big to take up too much space but also so gorgeous that I leave it out! Love it.

I bought this as a gift that I have not yet given. The bowl is small and dainty though plenty big enough to grind a few spices. The pestle is quite large, easy to hold both pestle and mortar in the hands.The tree of life decoration is meaningful all over the world in religion and otherwise. It is very pretty and makes this practical kitchen kit attractive on a shelf or worktop. I know my friend will love it as much as I do.

This works well and is comfortable to use. The pastel fits well in the bowl and it grinds easy. It's also very nice looking.

Leider ist der Boden nicht gerade und dies ist für die Funktion des Produktes nicht gerade ideal. Am Rand ist ein Stückchen abgebrochen. Aus diesen Gründen 1 Stern Abzug. Ansonsten ist das Produkt sehr schön.

Well made heavy spice crusher. Love the design and the weight of it. I keep it by my stove because some spices like oregano need crushed to release the flavor. I used to use my hands but this gives a better crush for dried (in jar) spices like Rosemary. I recommend.
