Brooklyn Biltong Classic Grass Fed Beef Steak Slices, Keto, 2 oz, Pack of 2

I have histamine intolerance and terrible food sensitivities. I also love jerky (beef, bison, turkey, elk, and so on). Unfortunately, most jerky on the market is saturated in soy sauce and black pepper (both high histamine), is made from OLD meat (higher histamine!), and has a large number of ingredients (many of which are high histamine and/or a food sensitivity); I can have a running nose immediately and heartburn quickly that lasts hours after consuming. Dear god, have I tried most of the pastured and organic jerky out there! If I was in better health, I would certainly try to make my own, but, FINALLY, here's Brooklyn Biltong's "Naked"-- high quality beef, great flavor, and only 3 ingredients! I had ZERO histamine issues and ZERO heartburn. Considering I'm on the carnivore diet per doctor and nutritionist's recommendation for GI tract healing, I need more than what I can cook, and snacks to take with me... look no more! My three "cons" with "Naked" biltong, which may or may not be how it is for all flavors, are that it is moderately greasy, a bit stringy and hard to chew for some pieces, and the individual pieces are pretty small (there's a lot in each bag, though!). It's just not the easiest casual snack when you're out and about. Having a napkin handy and knowing where you can wash your hands is probably ideal... Ultimately, I appreciate everything about this product and I find the pure flavor to be so pleasant after years of over-seasoned jerky. I've finally found my snack staple! The only thing that could make it better... a little more for a little less $$, but that's not the way food is trending.

This beef product is delicious and provides a protein item for my son during camp and school weeks. He loves having this food in his lunches!

I was surprised at this product. The pics in sale of the item showed people holding these big pieces of meat. My pkg was full of crumbs as shown in my pic . The advert for this product was fraudulent. The biggest piece I had was less than an inch wide. The taste wasn’t great either… almost rancid

When I first opened this, I was hesitant to eat any. It had an off putting smell. I looked at the ingredients to see what it might be, and there's only 3 ingredients. Beef, salt, apple cider vinegar. It was the vinegar that I was smelling. Anyway, I tried a piece, and it's not anything crazy flavor wise. Mostly just salt and beef. I like that though, so I'm happy. I just finished off the first 8oz bag, of which I got 2. No mold or anything, so I think the company resolved that issue. I think that they could do bit better at trimming the fat, which is usually the first thing to go rancid with dried or cured meats. But overall you get a pound of good meat. Probably best to store in the fridge though. It isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than most of the jerky you'd buy at the store. This is a pleasant snack, and I think I might buy it again.

I've been eating a couple pounds of this stuff every month for about a year. At first it was perfect... then it changed flavor and was less perfect. I hung in there though and the last two batches, in their new packaging, are even better than the original batches that I loved so much. If you're new to the product, don't be dissuaded by the recent poor reviews -- I agree with their sentiment -- but the company fixed the issue. I appreciate a company that tries to improve and listens to customer feedback. I will continue spending $80/month on this product.

It's jerky, and it's zero sugar. But taste is vanilla. Not very good for a jerky that boasts big flavor .. meh

It’s my first time buying from this company and the flavors seemed intriguing as well as the clean ingredients, I saw others talk about the chewiness or the amount given and thought that maybe idk it was “just them”, I was wrong. As you can see in the picture I just opened the bag and the slices given are so mediocre and falling apart as if its the bottom of a chip bag, I gave it at least two stars since the flavor is pretty good but it’s insanely CHEWY. I kept trying pieces thinking that maybe it was just the piece I grabbed but all of them are so chewy to the point it turns into a gum from me chewing it. I feel so upset and disappointed honestly. Hope that if you decide to buy it you get a better experience.

Got this for my husband, he loves this brand and recommends every time. Thin cut jerky with milk flavor. The salt and vinegar flavor is a top pick for him as well.
