This solar light is lovely; the whole thing is easy to put together and easy to install (comes with screws and plugs); the solar pad is large and sucks up enough sun in just a few hours to keep the unit powered through the night with good amount of light output/brightness as it flicks on and off automatically (different modes*) thanks to the PIR sensor!The entire unit is IP65 water resistant/weatherproof, so you can position it basically wherever you please, and you shouldn't have to worry about rain, snow or sleet causing their untimely demise! (IP65 is not technically 'waterproof', so I certainly wouldn't advise fully submerging the light for any reason).As for battery life/solar power, for several days the light has only had roughly 4-6 hours of sunlight (mixture of direct and indirect sunlight), and lit up every time the sensor was triggered during the evening (off/on, not dimmed or always on, so your milage may vary!)*The brightness is great and the adjustable modes allows the light to be either; 1, always on at night (30% brightness); 2, always dim (at night) but then switching to full brightness when motion detected, or 3, totally off but then switching to max brightness when motion detected.

Used my own screws to set up. The ones supplied not up to scratch. The side of the house faces South so plenty of sunlight. Very good illumination for a solar powered light. I have 3of them in a row

The light looks wonderful in the dark corner next to my door it's not just impressed me but all my neighbours are commenting on how nice it is.
