Great Personal Excercise Mat, Just About Perfect!
POGAMAT Large Yoga And Stretching Mat - 84" X 27": Great mat! I'm 6 ft 2, athletic build, broad shoulders, and appreciate the extra size, helps keep my sweat off of my carpet when I work out in my living room! Also like the thickness, slightly thicker than my prior mat, but not so thick as to cause balance problems when doing standing and balance poses. Pretty much my perfect mat. I wouldn't say there was NO odor on first opening it, but hardly any, and none at all after a few days. My old mat always had a slight 'chemical' odor, by comparison. This one grips pretty well, both top and bottom (I don't want something overly 'grippy', still need to be able to move around comfortably on top). Excellent item, very pleased with this purchase. Comes with a practical carry/storage strap. I recommend the YogaRat XL microfiber mat towel to go with this mat, just slightly smaller in size than this mat (I bought several YogaRat towels to change out after each workout, and between laundry washings).

Not only great for a tall person, but a great mat in general.
As a 6'3" guy with long legs and limited flexibility, doing yoga on a regular sized mat is... challenging. I was suprised how few extended length mats there were, but was pleasantly surprised to find this one. I was happy with having it just be long and didnt even care as much about the comfort. So I was even more pleasantly surprised when the mat turned out to be one of the best yoga mats I've used. After I wiped it down it was very sticky (but not too sticky) and avoids any slipping of feet/hands. It is also fair thick so I am using it on a hardwood floor with no issues at all. If you're tall this mat is a necessity. If you're not tall I'd still recommend it. Oh, and the reviews of the bad smell? Absurd. This has little-to-no scent at all. Seller also was fast to get it out in the mail, even during a pandemic, and everything arrived quickly.

Comfortable and long enough for my height
This is my first mat purchase as a newbie to Yoga. I used the cheap mats supplied at my local Y for the first few months of classes I attended. I chose this mat because of the length and thickness. It's more than ample in length for my 6'2" frame and it's thick enough to keep my knees from hurting. In the long term, I might invest more money into a mat that is a little better in the "non slip" department, but this is a very suitable mat for a newbie like me.

Bare skin will slip
This is a wonderful mat. I bought it after it had been recommended by a friend in a yoga class. It is much larger and thicker than a regular one, which is why I ordered one. The price is great, she had paid even more somewhere else. The only reason I’ll give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it’s a yoga mat BUT since it’s a bit thicker, your hands slide around when the material is compressed by your bare hands and bare feet! Seems to be an issue for doing many poses but it is a trade off for comfort. I still kept my thin mat for more agile practice.

Good Large mat
Im 6'3" 330#, typical yoga mats my feet or head hang over, this mat is nice, the wide is the same so I don't take up too much room on the floor, also, I do passive yoga (ad of a chair for some movements) placing the chair on the mat and so far where the chair pressed comes back once the chair removed, so I would say good quality. Very slight industrial smell when I first opened, after a few uses no longer has odor, even when my face in pushed into the mat on back bends.

High quality, exactly what I was looking for!
The length is perfect im 6’ 2” and its plenty long enough and wide enough for me. Its comfortable, its not too thin which was a big selling point for me. It doesn't smell, and comes with a carrying strap. I think the material will hold up for a long time. I would recommend this product for sure.

The verdict is out for now. Watch where you leave it!
I did not get a chance to use it because my Foster dog Dolly chewed it up. The dog seemed relaxed and very pleased with herself. Chewing, shredding and spreading the material all over the house was apparently very therapeutic, she closed her eyes and went back to sleep as I chastised her. I could tell that the mat was, in fact, thicker than the other mat I had been using. I was impressed that the description matched the product. I can’t vouch for the length but I have a thick mat and a mellow dog, so I ordered another mat. By the time it arrives, Dolly will be on her way to Canada to her forever home, so the mat has a chance.

Please avoid this mat.
I don't like to bash products online, but I honestly need to warn my fellow Yogis that this is absolutely useless for the practice of Yoga. There are two main issues I have with this. The first is the smell. It claims to be odorless, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I honestly don't have a great sense of smell but this is just horrendously chemically smelling. It makes it really difficult to focus on your breathing. My second problem with this is that while it claims to be non slip, it seriously isn't. In fact, it is ver very slippery. Try holding and warrior poses on this mat. You will be having your back foot sliding backwards the whole time. I had my worst Yoga session ever the one and only time I tried using this mat. Also, a bonus problem is that while the extra thickness may be nice for cushioning your knees, it's honestly not worth it, because at least for me, it seems to ruin my balance. Anything on one foot is far more challenging on this mat, and not in a good way.
