IOGEAR 3D Complete+ 2D to 3D Converter (GHDSSW4)

OK unit. My beef was that I wanted to operate the unit remotely from another room using an ir wireless extender. However the non standard frequency of the ir remote control is not compatible with any ir/wireless extender or learnable remote so FYI if like me you want to control from another room then you are out of luck. Other than that, it is a good unit and does what is says it does on the box.

I have dealt with 3D items for years and that includes nvidia graphics computers cards and I have a 3D hewlett packard monitor . this item definitely displays a very decent 3D effect with depth and foreground while it does not have the high powered effects like a movie made on blu-ray. played on a blu-ray player, the device does what says when hooked up right. 1) you need a 3d tv 2) you to use the glasss that work with your 3d tv I have a vizio 47" that uses passive glasses like Imax. I bought this device to extend the 3d of the vizio because vizio does not have an all source 2d to 3d converter built in like the LG . The benefits are it woth spending an extra 150 to 200 dollars more just get a 2d to 3d all source converter. and also you discover that a lot of movies and some tv shows do not convert well. the item unlike some 3d devices will take an original source and display it correctly without borders. thanks amazon for a great price and IO gear for a very decent product.

I've a Benq Mx511 3D Ready Projector for which this product didn't work at all. Returned it by post with no problems.

the HDMI switch portion works great and the 3D converter isn't bad. has adjustments for depth and pop of the produced image. Do not try to use for converting 3d games tho. the is a large delay in the conversion process and the video will be way out of sync. also, if your video source has a separate connection for audio instead of going thru the hdmi (like an optical connection to a surround sound system) then your video will be out of sync with your audio as well. overall, this does work as advertised and does a decent job of creating 3d images and for an incredible price. very pleased with the product. just wish I had done some homework first...

This was one highly under-rated ie fantastic purchase!!!
