Mouse internal software gave out
Cool design and budget friendly the keyboard was nice. But the Mouse on the other hand stopped lighting up after only 2 months of minimal use.The mouse was working fine until I woke up this morning and tired it and the mouse stopped lighting up and the movements of the mouse is inverted to whats on the screen so it seems like a internal mouse software issues since I tired it on 3 different computers with same issue. HappeningWhen I say inverted when you slide the mouse right the cursor on the screen goes leftWhen you slide the mouse up and cursor goes down i tired every setting on pc to see if i accidently enabled anything but nothing changed.

Decent budget Keyboard. Quite enjoyable to type on. Pay attention to minor details.
Pay attention to the model numbers out there. Sometimes Amazon reviews are mushed together from various product versions. The keyboard I purchased is the HV-KB393L . On YouTube you'll find obscure videos with varying version numbers. Looking back I wish I purchased the Havit keyboard with the included wrist rest for an extra $10. I thought they were the same keyboard just one didn't have the wrist rest but this one is "rainbow backlit" aka fixed LED colours while the other one for $55 appears to be RGB. Can't doc points for that since that's really my bad.Overall the keyboard is really pleasant to type on. I am a programmer working from my home office. Reasons why I picked this keyboard are the price, minimalist design, I preferred the key font over red dragon, as well as the secondary media controls are within one handed reach from the FN key. The keycaps appear to be double shot ABS. I really enjoy typing on it. This is my first mechanical keyboard I've owned...I wanted to be sure I liked the clicky switch before sinking over $100 into something more premium. Considering you would be hard pressed to find any keyboard with Cherry MX switches for under $100 canadian, this seems to be a great alternative to get into the mechanical keyboard game. The lighting modes are kind of meh when you have a fixed set of colours, but does what it is supposed to. For some reason the lighting control keys for the [-_] and [=+] keys don't appear to have any purpose for this model. Colours themselves are alright...however the yellow colour right in the middle of the keyboard is noticeably weaker than the red/green surrounding it which is a bit disappointing unless your room is quite dark.I have no interest in using the mouse, it seems decent but I find it is a bit too large for how I like to hold a mouse with the side of my palm on the desk.Braided cables seem to be a nice touch but but I personally would rather that "quality" put elsewhere and slum it with a plain USB cable (which is mostly out of sight in my usage). One nice touch is the keyboard remembers the lighting mode after shutting the computer down.

True, it's mechanical, but not reliable.
I'm a 95+ WPM typer and these keys don't respond fast enough sometimes. I'd press on a key and nothing pops up. Now, this doesn't happen very often, but when it does it really breaks the flow of my typing. Very disruptive. And it happens to random keys, not just one, so I'm not sure what the problem is.For gaming it's okay because you don't nearly press on the keys as fast as when you're typing .Mouse is alright, can change DPI and change lighting settings. Legit blue swithces for the keyboard; nice clack sounds for days.

I wanted to love this
I needed a new keyboard for an older gaming PC and was looking around for a decent inexpensive set. My research led me here. While I didn't need a mouse necessarily, I figured buying this combo would be a great way to renew that side of things as well. First impressions were great, I loved the look and feel of the keyboard (amazing) and the RGB colors and effects were top notch. The mouse also has very nice lighting and has a decent optical sensor. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that the left Shift key was only working about 60% of the time out of the box but did seem to resolve itself for a while and was working 100% for a short time. After that, I noticed that it once again was occasionally not acknowledging being pressed. This was especially noticeable when playing pinball games where the Shift keys act as the flippers or first person shooters where the Shift key is used to toggle between walk and run. The mouse, while responsive and mostly comfortable in the hand, is quite heavy for my tastes and was cumbersome to move around and subtracted from my performance in first person shooters. I think the bottom could maybe be a bit more smooth too. Also when you would move the scroll wheel up, it felt a little clunky (although moving it down felt perfect). Sadly, in the end, I wanted to love this combo but am returning it and going back to the drawing board. I think I will just get a mechanical keyboard by itself and re-use the old mouse. I will keep my eyes on Havit however, this experience at least shows great promise.
