One of my favorite shows THE HOLY SPIRIT

I have multiple books from this brand and they are truly so digestible for kids and the artwork is beautiful! Absolutely worth every penny!

Love these books and how deep they are and yet simple for a child. Great pictures! I can’t wait to read these with my nephew:)

The image used for Pentecost is rather unfortunate - the people look like white ghosts with flames over their heads surrounded by darkness. The image unfortunately parallels images around the world that are more evil in meaning. Its hard to see this image in a positive way. I suggest that the authors change this image in future editions - my suggestions are make the people a rainbow of skin tones in the world so they look alive and not like ghosts, then I would make the background blue. If possible, I would make the fire or the people look more joyous rather than solemn.Because of the image above, the page right afterward on indwelling has a more haunted house feel. Again, make the sky brighter and house look a lot happier with flowers or something. OR switch the image to one of someone holding the bright happy light against their chest or something.Otherwise the book is nice.

I found just about every page offensive... it is NOT geared for small children, in my opinion. It MIGHT be OK for a 13 year old, but why would you buy a hard-page book for anyone except tiny children. And, I still would not buy it for older children. The message that I tool away is that the Holy Spirit is only for "Believers." One page has a drawing of the heart (yes the organ - not a valentine's day heart) and says "The Holy Spirit gives people new hearts..."My message: (which is VERY down-played in the book) The Holy Spirit CHANGES hearts (believers and unbelievers) and fills hearts with love, joy and peace. The Holy Spirit guides us. That is a message young children can comprehend. The book talks about indwelling and believers....and sin and disobedience! Here's a line from a page: "The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see how bad our sin is, helping us to turn away from our rebellion and obey God instead." There is a much better way to convey this message to innocent two, three and four year olds,I was sad because I felt this was a WASTE of my money.

Misses that the Holy Spirit is our comforter, and that He intercedes for us - pretty big oversights imo when the rest of the book is very repetitive.
