Needed to cut some closetmaid wire shelving for a closet at work and a reciprocating saw was just too slow and vibratory. My previous bolt cutters had a broken jaw so I bought these on the basis of the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The cutters worked well of cutting the shelving but frankly with shorter handled cutters your arm strength determines how easy they are to use. Unlike some cutters they opened and closed easily but not too easily if that makes sense. Jaw capacity is fine. Personally, with bolt cutters I prefer some resistance so the handles don't swing open when you least want it. The jaws seem strong and they are well-made with comfortable handles and certainly seem durable. Weight appears about average for the size and is satisfactory. Definitely happy with this purchase especially as they are not expensive.

Very sturdy and well made. Cut the heavy guage glavanized wire I needed cut with ease. If what you are cutting is of the thicker variety, get the longer handles, the leverage is important the thicker you go.

These cutters worked fine for cutting chain link fencing but you do need to put alot of pressure on the handles when cutting. Look carefully at how far the jaws open because it may not cut everything you want it to.

I bought these to untangle a nightmare of a wire tumbleweed that had blown into my yard from God knows where that got wrapped around a tree. I could not get that wire off to save my life so I bought these and sat there for an hour sniffing off pieces of that wire tumble lead, and these things didn’t hurt my hand. They were easy to use their lightweight. They’re very strong very strong and I really love them. I ended up giving them to a friend after I had used them. I really didn’t have any use for them anymore. They’re great.

These little mini bolt cutters are fantastic. I mean, can’t really cut many bolts with it so I mainly use it for wire. Which works fantastically.. very good price very good quality and definitely sharp enough to cut through any smaller gauge wire that you could fit

Compact and incredibly strong. Can be used for fences, small locks, wire shelvinh, etc. Really useful to have in your shed.

I found this pair of cutters was way too short to do the job. Not enough leverage for the task. The specs state what thickness of metal these will cut, but I found them to be lacking.
