ABPXNC230R - Able Planet Extreme Foldable ANC Headphones (Red)

My 10 year old is now on her second pair. The first one lasted a couple of years before the locking mechanism broke - but they had experienced hard use and I am surprised they lasted this long.What to like:- Foldable, which means very portable for the type of headphones.- You can detach and hence replace the cable if needed.- Volume control on the cable.- Good sound quality - I am not an expert in that area.- Excellent noise cancelling for the price.- Cool design.- Comes with adapter to use in the airlines.- The cable is holding up very well. It has been pulled on and chewed on, but has not needed replacement unlike a couple of other headphones we have had in the past.What could be improved:- It comes with a fabric bag, not a hard case, without a zipped pocket for adapters, spare batteries etc.- Feels a little stiff to me, but not to my daughter.We went through a couple of on-the-ear Sennheisers before purchasing this brand. Both my daughter and I think these are more comfortable.

I read largely negative reviews. I did not find one thing these people complained about to be accurate. The product was well built and for theprice i'd take it over Beats anytime. It sounds just as good and if there are two negative things it would be the Beats is better built. Having a movable part never works in the long run. Secondly, having to use a battery to boost the sound shows the thinking of the engineers who designed were not thinking of the consumer.However, for the price and uf you are careful putting it on and taking it off and remember to turn off the sound boost it siunds just as good as Beats and for the price you're a knuckle head for spending $200-300 when you can get the same siund fir so much less. And the plastic on my set Is thick and the moveable part has got togo.

These headphones lasted about a month. There is a hinge at the top to allow for the headphones to fold up for travel, which is a nice idea. However, in practice the hinge is flimsy; it is made of plastic and the hinge is not robust. The simple action of pulling the headphones slightly apart to put them on my (average sized) head caused the hinge at the top to break, rendering the headset useless for its main purpose. I tried gluing it, I tried taping it, I tried gluing and taping it. Nothing held the seam together once the hinge was broken, and the repeated attempts to fix it caused the wire which passes through the hinge (to reach the other speaker, as this has the audio wire on only 1 side) to fray and break. This rendered the headphones entirely useless. I like the color, I like the fit, I like the audio cable coming out of only one side, I like the volume control on the audio cable, I like the sound, I like the active sound blocking. I do not like the construction and the subsequent breakage. I would consider putting the headphones on reasonable use, I would even argue that one has to put them on to use them. Therefore I recommend you keep looking.

I'm glad these headphones were still available... I like them when mowing the lawn... Great noise reduction... I can wear them over a hat too... have owned 2 other pair over the years...

Honestly, the sound from these is the best you are going to get for this price. I wear them in my office, so plaid or another color, makes no difference. I give the 4 stars and not 5 because they are very fragile and break easily. This is my 3rd pair in 3 years and keep buying them because of the sound quality. I use them for watching, developing and producing, audio and video productions and effects.

Sound quality is great and active noise cancelling work good at the office. They are very comfortable on my head as well. The frame is made out of very cheap plastic. The latch that secures the folding mechanism at the top broke after I folded it twice. I can still wear the headphones just fine but they fold very easy now which is a little annoying. I wasn't willing to drop hundreds on the other brands so these will do.

Used this quite a few times at MSP Airport and it works very nice even with the volume low the noise cancelling is noticeable. The locking tab for the headband broke but it still is functunal

This was the 4th pair of this model headphones I purchased because I love the sound they produce however all headphone broke in the middle where you are suppose to fold them. I have treated the last with such care not even trying to fold the headphone to prevent them from breaking but no go there is defiantly a design flaw. Great sound but guaranteed to break.
