It’s a good read
This is a light reading, is not about how to dos. It is more about the path that lies ahead the ones that want to build a bike, in this case a cafe racer. The compromises, the elbow grease and satisfaction of working in this project. Of course it comes with valuable guidelines, like what base bike is good, design tips, measurements and some pictures to accompany. It’s a good book but is not an instructional guide to assemble from a to b.

not worth the money
some good information about adjusting suspension but the rest is very generic and a great lack of Illustrated photos

Decent Information
Wrought with typos and repetition, this book actually does provide decent information on how to go about selecting the starter bike, including listing many that are ideal, and getting it set up for the conversion. Some things could use elaboration but overall it was worth what I paid.

Great overview of how to build a cafe racer
This book goes over the points to consider as you design and customize your cafe racer. There are some very interesting tips, I consider them crucial, in restoring various components. I consider this now to be a weekly reference book to remind and reinforce various techniques. A must have/read.

All you need to know.
Very detailed description about to perform a cafe racer project. Interesting and inexpensive tricks to do things. Save you buying parts

Minimalist.
Don't expect to spend days reading this. Not exactly comprehensive, in fact once you've taken the obvious out of it, there isn't a lot left. Disappointing!

Basic, basic, basic......
I realize the indications were of a basic introduction to the cafe racer concept. I was however quite disappointed of the fact that it was very very basic. Also, this "book" can hardly be called a book......more of a soft cover, small, and minimally informative booklet, normally found on the "free" rack of a tourist information stand. I don't revel in the fact that I am giving this product such a low rating, as the author has clearly a passion for his subject.......just that at almost $20 to get it to my door is not value for the money in any respect.
