Works great for securing ram mounts. I ordered 4. Definitely cheaper than replacing ram mounts.

These are great. As good or better than RAM. One warning: if you use the original RAM twist knob’s washer, this won’t lock. You MUST use the included washer which is a slightly different size. 10/10 product.

Looks to be decent build and looks nice. But can't use it as it came with no threads, so I'll have to tap it or return it

I install this on my scooter with my GPS when traveling. I thought everything was working fine. Someone noticed it and asked how it worked. I showed the small special spanner used to lock it and said the outer ring won't work to remove it while trying to demonstrate it and as I turned the ring, I was able to remove it. I reinstalled it and it worked correctly. I have to verify it each time to make sure as sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Once it works, it's good until I remove it. Just have to verify it each time prior to using after install.

Plastic seems “light” but it tightens well enough. I like it

Works on New DoubleTake Mirror with couple of small washers. I had to add a couple of small washers and it works great. I got a few black washers at the hardware store. I think these will make a good deterrent and they make me feel more comfortable knowing my mirrors will not just be easily walk away.

I needed to use the bolt provided, original was standard thread and this part uses fine thread. My original item has 1 largish plastic washer and one smaller steel washer. I put those on in the same order (plastic washer, steel washer) and then installer the included larger steel washer. This assured that the inside of the 'locking mechanism' properly seated and secured the RAM arm and allowing the outer part to rotate freely. Once I got it all figured out, works like a champ.
