Twisted wrong.
On one of the two I bought, the final seating of one of the outlets came out with the elbow pointing up instead of down. Do not know if it will eventually leak but had to go out and get a straight out connection to make it do what I wanted.

Suitable replacement for MultiPure RO drinking water system RO element housing
I have a fairly old MultiPure RO drinking water system. The old RO element housing was stuck and impossible to open, as there is no suitable way to hold the smooth round housing while using the wrench to get the cap off. The only solution was to buy a new housing. This housing works great. It also has ridges that give you something to hold on to when installing or removing the cap. I used a Dow Filmtec RO element https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LMFV7Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which fits perfectly and works well.Unfortunately, this housing does not come with any installation information. The method is not obvious, in part because the hose attachments are different from the ones used in the MultiPure system. In the MultiPure system, each connector has a threaded collar that holds the hose onto each connector on the RO housing. Those are different from the push-in connectors used elsewhere. One reviewer here posted a very helpful review that explains part of it, i.e., connector with the pink ring is the one with a check value that you'd use for the waste water port. Still, that is not sufficient. The housing comes with 6 little plastic horseshoe shaped pieces. My guess is that those are for locking the hose connectors in place, but there is no information indicating that. Fortunately, the threaded holes in the housing fit the connectors used in the MultiPure system, so I used those original connectors and it all works fine. The MultiPure system has its own check valve in the water water tube, plus an air gap check valve.Note that the cap does not require much tightening to ensure no leaks. Tighter than a loose hand tighten but not very tight; you barely need the wrench to get it tight enough. Apparently it has a good gasket and a good fit.

excellent for my needs
my old 2012 (size, not year) RO filter was locked. Nobody could loosen it to change the filter....what else can you do? Ok, buy the whole new housing and just drop your new filter inside and reconnect the lines. I am flushing the system now. I am seriously considering getting a new set up and adding this RO filter as an end stage now that I have a working housing that is not locked. I think I'll go with a 3 stage twist in/twist out and add this RO filter and housing to the end of that line. That should solve all of the problems under the sink with the water. But, back to this RO filter housing, it is a standard size and compatible with most systems. I have no leaks and I do not over tighten as I am barely capable of tightening period. I just tested while it is flushing and the TDS comes up as 28 and keeps going lower. Thank you for offering this housing and wrench to fix my current set up or keep as an add on to a future set up. The price was very reasonable and certainly worth it. I picked this particular item because I definitely needed the wrench. I was not sure if I needed the housing, but the price was only a few dollars more with the housing included. Turns out I did need both.

Connectors explained (because no instructions included!)
This housing includes three connectors that have to be installed by you. Two all-white connectors and one white connector with a pink ring. There are no instructions in the box and the seller’s responses in Questions are nearly incomprehensible. After a mixture of trial and error and deciphering the seller’s explanations, I figured this out:White connectors:1. One white connector goes into the removable cap. This is the water inlet. In my system the tube delivering water into the housing is yellow.2. The other white connector is for the clean water outlet. Install this in the end that requires two connectors, in the more center-aligned outlet. The clean water tube is green in my system. Green = clean. Makes sense.Pink-ringed connector: this is for waste water, water that goes into the housing that does not get filtered. This connector includes a back-flow prevention valve. This goes into the remaining outlet, the one that is clearly off-center and closer to the side of the housing. In my system, the tube connecting to this is black, because that water is evil.I hope this saves some other buyers the headache I got from what should have been a very simple installation.

Upgrade Your RO System Today!
Used this RO membrane housing to double the output of my RODI system water while leaving my wastewater volume the same. To do this, attach your two RO membranes in series. If your water pressure is inadequate (mine was a weak 38 psi) add a booster pump.

Housing is not the same outer diameter as old housing and cap seal is also different.
This housing is different than any I have previously seen. The outside diameter is smaller and the auxiliary clip that I use for the finishing filter does not fit properly. Thankfully, I am using a two stage system so I put the clips on the other housing. The cap seal is also different. This one uses a seal that is down on the neck of the housing. The previously units I have seen, have a seal that is on the top. It does appear to be nominally correct and is not leaking. The restriction device that was included was not required in my installation.

Good replacement
I use this to replace original product. It Did its job. It perfectly accommodated the osmosis filter.

Housing is ok, poor thread cutting techniques though
Turned up just as it should have. The threads cut into the housing are trash. The waste water port is by far the worst. I’ve had to wrap about a quarter mile of thread tape on the fitting to get it to even feel like it might seal. Luckily it’s not a pressured line (other than the check valve and flow restrictor), I’ll find out in the next few days when I get around to installing it just how bad it is. There is an outside chance I’ll be gluing it together
