Great design. Cool decor!

I have wanted an old fashioned style hourglass similar to this one for years. I finally broke down and bought this one as a splurge and a gift for myself to be used on my desk. I have to be honest in this review that I have not timed the accuracy of this unit and I don't really know how long the sand flows through it. I can say that I regularly use this when I am working at my desk to regulate my time between breaks, and it goes for a long time. It's also fun to watch the sand flow through it and pile up in the bottom section before flipping it again. The build quality seems decent, but I do wonder if it may start to fall apart over a long time with regular use. I would imagine if it does, that it would be easily repaired with wood glue. I have not found any flaws with this product, and I highly recommend it for decoration and as a neat way to pace yourself when you are working at your desk.

Beautiful timer and classic design. I would give 5/5 except for mine wasn’t exactly 1 hr. I timed it and the timing of the sand for mine is about 1 hr and 2 minutes. It could possibly have been influenced by environmental conditions. Regardless, would definitely recommend as a gift or office decoration!

Looks great, more accurate than I expected. I timed it at 60 minutes and 10 seconds. More than close enough for my purposes. The pictures make it look bigger than it is. If you stretch out your thumb and pinky as far as they go (on an average-sized hand) that is about 8 inches.

My hourglass is beautiful, the vibrant blue sand compliments the dark wood frame.

Calming corner: I purchased this hourglass to put in the Peace Corner of my new elementary classroom, which is an area where the 4th-6th grade students can go to calm down when they get overwhelmed. When I saw the hourglass, I knew it was just what I needed. I don't need for it to be a timer, but I DO need it to be high-quality and substantial, which it is. I can't wait to add it to the materials that will help my students slow down when things get too hectic.

Leaks sand at one end. I tried it anyway, and it stopped flowing sand at around 15 minutes. I'm sorry that it don't work. Very disappointed.
