It worked very well would bye again

It fitted perfectly to secure a tension retractable awning on my apartment balcony. Although the awning had tension rods to the floor to the sealing, I needed something to secure this to the outside wall of my apartment balcony as I was afraid of some stronger winds and this works perfectly for that. perfect size, perfect grip, it feels really sturdy and it actually looks nice on the wall.

The prodcut looks OK, however, I wouldn't trust it with my £1k antenna. The description says heavy duty, but the steel is very very thin, and the weld doesn't even go all the way around the base. Bracket mounting holes are too small if you are to use fixings other than those supplied. Then the antenna pole brackets are held in by screws with very shallow threads, and the inner threads will strip very easily. This gives no option should you bugger the threads on the antenna bracket part. No washers are supplied with fixing bolts, or the bolts that holt the actual antenna pole, making it very insecure. So anything more than a kiddy garden umbrella will snap these brackets like a sugar cane with any significant wind load. May be OK for a tiny UHF duckie, but I wouldn't trust it to hold up any length of time outdoors.

Even though the description provides dimensions, the product is tiny. The gauge of steel is too small and any 50mm TV aerial pole, over 1m long would bend/snap or rip it out of its fixings with the slightest puff of wind.The coating is not suitable for outdoors and the paintwork was chipped, showing metal. If the paint gets chipped in the box, what would clamping a metal pole do to it!At £26, this is well overpriced Chinese junk.Would I recommend: No.
