Perfect fit!
This fits perfect on my GE gas range. So much better than the OEM aluminum griddle. There is no substitute for cast iron when it comes to “comal”. This one is a genuine product. It is not lightweight! Which is exactly what you want in cast-iron. Cast-iron takes a little more work, seasoning and cleaning properly, but if you are a real cook you want your equipment to be the best. Excellent product

Flexible use
The finishing 'coat' is not smooth, quite rough. Spritz of cooking spray fixes that. Perfect fit on my GE gas stove. It doesn't sit on the stove's rubber pads, rather the corner ear blocks rest on the outer grates quite solid. Heavier than the stock OE griddle. Propping up one end with a ceramic mug allows the majority of grease to drain to the other end while still hot, to be absorbed by paper towel to minimize cleanup.

Very good quality and it’s cast iron!!
The quality is top-notch. I love how it’s cast iron and reversible at the same time. It fits perfectly on my stove model #JGBS66DEKBB. Note the last 5 letters “DEKBB” stands for “black.”Also, since it’s cast iron, make sure you have enough oil on it so the food doesn’t stick on it… and it’s decently heavy because it’s real cast iron.

Very Good, but rough
All is good , but you will need to sand down the top. I had the same problem as others with the top being too rough. I just used a coarse scotch Bright pad and then a medium one. In the sink with some hot water on it. Literally only 15 minutes or so of work. Huge difference. Of course I had to d a reseasoning a bit. I just got it hot 200° or so and then poured a tbs of oil on it. Wipe thoroughly with cloth to insure full coverage and done. Note that I did a full seasoning in the oven when i first got it, after washing it of course.

Extremely heavy and hard to lift
I got this as a replacement griddle for my GE Adora stove. It fits perfectly and cooks like you would expect cast iron to cook. However, the ends hook over the front & back edges of adjacent burner grates, so to clean the stovetop under the grates, you must first completely remove this center grill before you can remove the grates on either side. This is a real hassle because this grill is SO VERY HEAVY. You can't just shift it to the side, you must completely remove it and set it aside to clean the stove top underneath. The original GE OEM griddle was (relatively) light weight aluminum and completely separate from the side grates. But the GE griddle has a non-stick coating that gets scratched up very quickly and looks horrible. It's also not cheap to replace. So, I guess this is an acceptable (but inconvenient for reasons above) replacement that should last forever. You also have to clean it like caste iron should be cleaned, which takes extra time and effort.A trade-off for a caste iron griddle/grill that will last. I just wish it didn't sit on top of the side grates. I consider this a design flaw as it should be designed to be free-standing (like the GE OEM part) so you can easily lift the grates to clean the stop top.

Very Sturdy
Cast iron strong. This was my second time purchasing as the first one came broken. Happy with my second purchase.

Rough Surface
I have been cooking with cast iron for most of my adult life. I have several pieces that go back generations in my family. I know how to season and use this stuff better than I do the non-stick from the stores.Out of the box, the castings look of good quality however, the cooking surfaces are rough --- very rough. I season my cast iron with beeswax (yah...better than any oil I've tried) and find the surface so abrasive that even wiping off excess wax between seasoning sessions abraids the lint-free towel I use.Food sticks, towels and sponges are shredded when you wipe the surface. This is not you granny's cast iron.I think I'm going to have to take serious measures and try to machine the surface smooth.

Fits great. No way to drain excess oil
As a griddle it is sturdy and heated fine.If there is a single problem, it’s that there’s no way to collect or drain any excess oil.
