Hands on play. Both my 4 and 7 yr old grandchildren love it.
This was for my 2 grandkids aged 4 and 7. They love the way this toy presents itself and love its play value.

Light bright with a drill and screws.
Great idea, kids love using the drill to place the screws. THE DRAWBACK… the drill requires an adapter for the drill to place or remove the bolts. The adapter is the same color as the screws and easily gets lost in the bolts. Without the adapter the drill is of no use. Why not just make the end fit the bolts. Photo #3. Find the adapter!

Fun
The kids liked the Educational Insights Design & Drill Brightworks. This is a very fun toy. They played with it for a while, and had a lot of fun.We have many toys from this company. They make a lot of different products and we have generally been very happy with them. It worked well. This toy was durable. My kids can be a little rough with toys, but this continued to work just fine. We had no problemsI feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift.I would recommend it.

Mehhhh
1. If the only way to use the gun is with a specific head that there is only one of, then you all of a sudden can't use your gun if toddler has misplaced said bolt head piece.2.Someone mentioned another one having a container for the screws and I 1000% see the appeal in that3. Gun stopped working after 24 hrs. Yes I checked the batteries. So yaaaa but the concept is cool, just wish it was better.

Perfect substitute for grandpa’s real tools
My best friend’s great-granddaughter just turned 3 this week; this toy drill is absolutely perfect for her since she’s growing up on a rural homestead while simply fascinated with her grandfather’s tools. Obviously she doesn’t have the ability to safely operate a power drill meant for adults, but this toy drill will help her to develop the dexterity and patience she’ll need to someday confidently use the real-deal some years from now.The little gears within the clear plastic housing turn when the toy is in use, exposing the inner-workings of how real power tools work. The large yellow button on the back allows for learning the difference between setting a tool to forward (screw something in), back (screw something out), or in a locked “safe" position where the tool won’t operate at all. This toy power tool also teaches the differences between pressing down too hard (causing the “bit” to spin over the bolts without screwing them in) and applying just enough pressure to get the bolts to spin down onto the light-board properly. The difference between trying to screw in a bolt at an angle (that doesn’t work!) and screwing in a bolt straight down (this works and the bolt will light up to confirm success).Developing fine motor skills is challenging for any developing child, yet I believe this toy drill will help my friend’s great-granddaughter do so in the coming months. Perhaps this toy will also give her something even more engaging to play with than just the screwdrivers and wrenches that her grandfather sometimes lets her take out of his own tool box!
