I didn't expect something this simple to work so effectively, but I guess simplicity really is great. The mechanism is basically impossible to screw up installation, leaves no marks anywhere on the door hardware, and solidly seals the door against someone even pushing against it full strength. Very impressive for a tiny little chunk of plastic stuck into a steel bar. It makes me feel much more secure in hotel rooms, because this is one lock that their master key can't override.

I purchased this based on a recommendation by another female traveling friend of mine. I unfortunately had to use it recently when I was in a sketchy part of Denver and there were no hotels with vacancy where i needed to stay aside from a run down, older hotel. Someone tried to get into my room around 3am and this thing was a life saver! They were unable to get in the door, and the cops arrived while they were still trying! I would recommend this to any traveler, solo or not!

These locks will fit right in your suitcase for travel and rentals. They seem to work on the doors I have tried them on. This is something that is made to deter someone who tries to open a door but by no means is this going to stop someone who really wants to break in. This is made for whoever is breaking in to go find an easier target. Worth the few bucks for a lil extra security.

Pretty sure this isn’t going to stop someone from kicking open the door, or even giving it a good body slam open for that matter. But it would give you warning if someone happened to have the key to your apartment or hotel in the middle of the night and was trying to sneak in. It works for that purpose. Add the siren door wedge and hopefully that would scare them away and wake even the deepest sleepers 🤣

Works pretty good on your standard door knob does not work on deadbolts for me and it does not work on doors that have skeleton key lock and latches. Due to it did not work on the deadbolt and specially due to it did not work on doors with skeleton keys or the opening for the latch is smaller that's why I gave it four stars but for your regular door knob regular latch works really good and easy to use. And from what I can see of the different types of door latches there is on hotels apartments and stuff unless you have a standard door knob then it would work otherwise like hotel-wise you have a 50-50 chance of it working at a hotel.

I bought this because I traveled to Ohio and I was staying in an airbnb and I just wanted that extra protection when sleeping and it's super easy to set up and once u hook it there is no way in hell someone can on it unless they use a sledge hammer to open u door lolIt's very durable and thick steel and works with every door I ever tried it on and it's absolute a must-have for traveling!!!!!And it's super lightweight like Iv used this in sketchy area in NYC when I use the bathroomSet it up and now I don't have to worry abother one ut someone trying to get in when I'm using the rest room like absolute gives me a sense of security and will be uploading a video how to use it
