Kissing On VJ Day - Nurse Kissing Sailor, Art Poster Full Size Poster Print, 24x36

My boyfriend was in the Navy and recently took me to Seaport and we went on the U.S.S. Midway Museum and gave me a tour telling me everything that happened or that he did on the ship, after we were walking around shops and at the time I didn't een think to get a memorable object for myself to have for that special day, so I went online and saw this poster which reminded me of that day cause outside of the U.S.S. Midway is a giant statue of the sailor and nurse so when I it I was thrilled we both put our names on the back and date then I put both our tickets inthe frame with it in the corner, looks so nice the only thing I was bummed about was the fact it doesn't say "End of War Kiss, New York City 1945" like it does in the picture. I loved that it showed that too bad, but overall great quality and price, very happy.

I paid attention to a previous reviewer about two different photographer versions of this poster and it paid off! This version is stunning, so much so that I want to order one for myself since this one is a present for a friend. Inlove with the detail. I had worries that this sailor was forcing hiself on this nurse but this poster is so HD you can tell she's in romantic heaven! Get it! Prompt shipping, great product.

Great picture. Price is, well, OK I guess. Seems like a high price for a poster.

The product arrived in a timely manner, without any issues. Packing held it together just fine . It's a good quality print of the iconic photo. I put it in a 24x36 frame and it looks great. The only downside I could say is that if you aren't going to put it in a frame, it comes rolled up in the package (like with the shipping of any poster), so I could see that giving you some issues. Overall, it deserves 5 stars, especially for the price.

I love it. I was a nurse working in a veterans nursing home when I purchased this poster. Then I went to NY and took a picture during fleet weekend with a sailor. My WWII heroes loved it!

The product I ordered came quickly and was exactly what I wanted! The poster came to me in mint condition, no complaints. As far as the poster goes everyone in the poster is very clear. It looks like the original photograph that was on Time Magazine. However, it is a very large poster and the frames I found are pricey. I wish I would have known how much the frames were because I want to treasure this photo.

There are two distinct versions of this famous photograph: one taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt (the straight on angle) and one taken by Victor Jorgensen (the off to the side angle). I can confirm that this product listing is for the Eisenstaedt version, despite the fact that the product page shows the Jorgensen version.

I love this photo so much and was blown away at the price for size. But when I received it, it was really blurry it was zoomed in way too much on the kissing couple and there was very little back ground in the picture. Big disappointment.
