This was the FIRST BAR CODE SCANNER I tried in years and it was:***Down and dirty quick install to run - Simply plugged in the USB Dongle into Windows10 PC. SNAP.***(Hesitated for days and days on buying and looked at many scanners before plunging on this one.)Tested scanning into:-Open notepad file. Scanned each test barcode into separate lines automatically after each scan. What I needed.-Excel file - multiple cells / fields. Dropped down to next cell automatically after scan. What I needed.-QUICKBOOKS - WOW - scanned into each selected field easily, auto pasted code where I needed it and then jumped to next field or line in the description body text. Was NOT expecting that. EXCEPTIONAL - WHAT I NEEDED!!!(Side note - don't fall for it - you don't need the QuickBooks Warehouse Manager platform to scan barcodes into invoices with this. "IT JUST WORKS"!!)Buying another one as back-up. But, yes the wrist strap is NOT the best. But, I only intend on using the strap for hanging on the side of my desk on a small metal hook for quick access. Haven't tried running it yet for any period of time to test battery life yet.Helpful hint - when scanning bar codes close to other print, cover the other print or areas that can look like part of a barcode - it will cause some scan code copy errors if not careful.I usually don't do reviews - but was so impressed with the plug in dongle (Windows10 detected/set-up), power on bar code scanner - and BANG there-she-blows no muss or fuss and it worked methodology - I had to pop in a review on this one.

So this is my ever 1st purchase of any sort of scanner. Over the last few years, I spent on/off searching for scanner to just get an idea. However, this time I thought I should buy one to solve my outgoing use case.I was debating with this (min hand) vs. the normal what we see in the big box stores. However, I did not had any hard preference over one or the other but I knew my usage will be way less in POS type environment and I needed the Bluetooth type scanner so I can use my Android phone.However, I still have not used the scanner with my phone over bluetooth connection so this review is not regarding that. However, I have used it with the wireless receiver to scan about 450 items into Google Sheet. Everything almost worked out of the box and speed that is where it met my expectations. I was little concerned about how is the speed of scanning but I have used this with my home grown (price lookup program on firefox) to checkout customers. It is sufficient for my needs to lookup prices when the item is scanned.Design: I think speed & design of this thing is awesome. You can easily fit this into your pocket like a cellphone.Bluetooth: I still need to test how is the scanning speed with bluetooth connection. Most likely I will update my review once I get through this testing as well.Battery Life: Still new so do not know how long the battery lasts on this unit.

So far this thing works really well. The unit paired with my phone and PC without any problems at all. It scans and inputs UPCs quickly and accurately into the field you have selected on your device. The only issue I have with it is that if I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone I want it to re-pair automatically with my PC. As of right now I can't figure out how to do that, or if it is possible. The booklet wasn't clear on that. However, it isn't very difficult to manually re-pair with the PC when I'm done using it with my phone. If I can figure out how to make it re-pair automatically with the PC dongle after Bluetooth is off I will change my rating to 5 stars.Other than that, the device is very small, about the size of a garage door clicker, so it fits easily into your pocket when you are out and about. I have what my friends and family refer to as Burger King hands (from the commercial with the guy with tiny hands) and it is still comfortably small in my hands as you can see from the pic.
