Does not magnetize to Surface Pro, it will not turn computer off when you close keyboard to screen.
Pros:Your keyboard can stay connected to you computer OR you can still type while the keyboard is disconnected. The feel of typing on this keyboard is great. The charge lasts a really long time and if inactive will go to sleep as opposed to completely turning off to save battery life.I like the built in number lock keys available on the keyboard. If you're data crunching a lot, I imagine this would be extremely helpful.Cons:One of the things that you have to get used to if you have an original surface pro keyboard is that you have to turn this one off every time you close your surface pro. If you don't turn the keyboard off, you will turn you computer back on because the keys are still active. When I received this keyboard in the mail, the keyboard was bowed and is still slightly bowed. I would have given this product a higher star count if my keyboard hadn't arrived damaged. The mouse on the keyboard is extremely sensitive and if you are typing and barely hit the mouse pad, your cursor will start typing somewhere else in your document. I assume that this is something you can change in the settings of your computer itself. Right now, it is a small annoyance. This keyboard does not magnetize to the surface pro to stay closed. That is something to adjust to as opposed to being a reason for not buying this keyboard.Final thoughts:If you're looking to by another keyboard and don't want to drop 100 dollars on a new keyboard, I would recommend you trying this one out as an option. After using it for several days, I am happier with this purchase.

looks really nice, and compliments the surface pro 3 flawlessly
Keyboard connects via Bluetooth and it charges via USB, but it types well, looks really nice, and compliments the surface pro 3 flawlessly. So glad I can type on actual keyboard again! The keys have a good height to them. although the plastic does move a bit when typing. Still, I did save myself a little bit of money as the current Surface Pro keyboard from Microsoft is $120 (ouch!). I am hoping it will last.

Be careful of this one
Plain and simple, it did not work. It looks very nice but here are my issues.1. it was actually warped and would not close flat on my Surface Pro 3.2. It is not magnetically attached like the original so many functions did not work.3. A couple of the keys did not work properly, inserting two characters for a single keystroke.4. Because it was not magnetic, it laid flat on the desktop without the angle of the original.Do not buy. Go for a Microsoft product. I did and it works flawlessly.

metal, good cool surface, comfortable typing, good backup keyboard. Though space bar doesn't register at certain angle.
nice metallic finish, sturdy and heavy duty, easy to connect to the surface pro with its magnet connector.keys are wide and big, lots of spaces between keys feel like typing on a regular keyboard. keys has good travel.con: the space bar has certain angle/ spots that doesn't register.... it only happens once in a while but it is annoying when typing fast. Also, it'd be better if it has a surface connector build in.overall, this is a good backup keyboard for surface, but the original is still better.

proper keyboard
works perfectly, but for those who don't know.the magnetic charging element is near the power button near the bottom right corner shown in the image which prevents it from closing the surface pro. Not like the actual surface pro keyboard where it is powered directly from its point of connection.

2.5 STARS...
It connected well, worked good. the magnetic bar that attached to the bottom of my surface pro 3 was not flat or straight it was warped. the magnets are very weak and barley hold it on. When you fold it over it would pull right off and if you don't have a good hold on the PC you'd drop it. the fact it was aluminum and had a rubber back was awesome for work use. The keyboard also came out of the box with a curve to it but being that it was metal i was able to bend it back flat. I returned mine, it is useless to me. The fact it has such a weak magnet and will not stay attached was the deciding factor

Had to return it.
I really wanted this to be the replacement the standard Surface keyboard. Turns out, it is not. The keyboard arrived warped and never married up with my Surface. I ended up returning it.

cant replace charging cord
The key board is well made and works well with the surface. Major downside: they use their own charging cable that I cannot buy else where, mine broke at the USB and now I've got a dead keyboard. They need to sell the charging cable separate or use a common connector

any good review on this product is more than likely fake.
I've been having issues with my surface pro 3 keyboards space bar - thinking this would be a good alternative at a more fair price I ordered one as soon as I could. Turns out with this garbage you don't even get what you pay for. Firstly the device can't manually connect to a surface tablet - It's just a cheap blue tooth keyboard. This would be fine if you could actually charge the damn thing and didn't have so poor of a quality build. I've literally bought more reliable feeling stuff at a dollar store. The magnetic usb attachment to charge it can't even stay in the proper position without taping it in place.TL;DRJust buy the real thing, this isn't worth the price it's at, and you will feel forced to return it within 5 min of taking it out of the box.

Unfortunate execution
Nice finish, and the keyboard keys are much better than the MS ones IMHO, but the manufacturing is very poor. The keyboard is fully bent in a convex curve, the magnetic connector is bent in a concave curve. The combination of curves basically makes it impossible to use on a flat surface. The magnetic strip never really clicks into place, and when it's closed as a cover it falls out. You could probably bend the keyboard to be flat since it's metal, but the connector is what it is. The USB power connector is at the bottom right of the keyboard instead of at the top, so its in the way when you're typing. i.e. you have to decide between typing and charging, you can't do both. Too bad, because the keys presses are great and the finishes are excellent.

Great product
Great product and is much better then the Microsoft surface coloured keyboards if you like the feeling of typing on a traditional laptop or desktop keyboard. the spaces between the keys and the descend of each makes it easier to type quickly.

Malfunctioned Immediately
After using the product for several hours it began to malfunction. I was unable to use the mouse as well as several keys. I would not recomend this to anyone as I was left $50 poorer and without a functioning keyboard

a very strange charging port can easily be knocked off since it's magnetic
