Works just fine. This mount is fairly light weight but plenty strong enough for the appx 7 pounds it is rated for. I used this for my cable box, 14.5 in wide x 9 in deep. Per the instructions, I attached this to the rear of a 32 inch TV that is on a full motion wall mount. I applied my own Velcro to keep the box from slipping which I consider a must. The final install looks and works great, the cable box moves with the TV and we get back some much needed shelf space! I'll use this again for sure.

I attached this mount to the back of my TV to place my wireless router and cable box out of sight. It worked for my very particular setup thanks in part to the fact that I had a sound bar mount already installed on the TV. I used the long arms of the sound bar to add stability to this particular mount, otherwise if would feel flimsy. Instead of attaching it to the back of the TV using only one of the VESA holes, I attached it to the sound bar arm at two points making it more stable (using my own hardware). The base of the mount is 7.9" x 7.9" so it worked for my application. I do not picture a full size DVD player or audio component fitting on the small base. Before ordering, it is imperative that you plan ahead, and figure if this unit will fit your TV setup. In my case, the extremely short arm of the mount (9.6") would not had allowed this mount to be placed on top of my 55" TV, probably only at the bottom.

I purchased this as a resting place for a logitech wireless media keyboard to a second computer in an effort to help keep the keyboard out of the way when not needed. Works very well for my needs. I have this bracket mounted to the back of an older 27" LED display (ViewSonic). Even though this is not a large display, I was only able to use one of the VESA mount points to connect this bracket (i.e. only one bolt holds this in place). With my keyboard, this bracket is a tad wobbly due to the thinner gauge pressed metal used. The platform itself is relatively small (~8"x8") and has a lip on the front. I cannot provide details as to how well this will work for a DVD player or similarly size media device but suspect that you may want to consider some type of anti-slip matting to help mitigate a unit from sliding off the platform.

I got this for a mini projector but it didn't work out (slightly slopes towards edge, wouldn't be a problem for things that don't need to be level). The wall mount option comes with 2.25" Philips/hex head lag screws. I had to use a crank bolt wrench to get them into/out of my studs because my drill couldn't handle them. They were very sturdy though. I replaced this with a floating shelf for the mini projector and may use this on top of one of my flatscreens instead.

I have a wall mounted TV in my bedroom and needed a way to get my Tivo Mini mounted so it was unobtrusive and not mounted to the wall. The bracket isn’t the longest and it barely cleared the top edge of the TV which makes it look great. My TV was already mounted to the wall bracket so I didn’t want to redo it so my installation is a little different. It did require a couple of additional screws, nuts and washers that weren’t supplied but I had them laying around. Very happy so far.

Affordable and perfect size to mount a DVD player on top of my 32" led tv in my RV's bedroom tv. I bit weak, not on the tray but on the one support but it gets the job done easily and looks great.

Wish they included the nuts for the bolts, as sometime you need to attach to an existing TV wall bracket, rather then the TV directly as per instructions. Good product otherwise

I really love this item! One of the coolest things I have purchased. Fits well on back of TV - attaches to the mount. Perfect for the cable box or a DVD player. I have it on my ceiling mounted TV and it works great. Very clever design.
