This really works!
This eye rinse is the second product like this I have tried for my cat General Patton, and I am sold on it! I actually have 2 orange tabbies who are prone to runny eyes, and a third Maine Coon mix cat who only occasionally needs his eyes cleaned. General Patton is getting on and retired from heavy duty mousing, but although he is "generally" (excuse the pun) in still-robust health, last month, his right eye looked disturbingly cloudy and teary. I bought the Cliny brand to start with, which worked very well clearing up Patton's eyes very quickly--within 2 days. However, it came in a bottle with a dropper which is a pain to dispense the stuff using the dropper when I had to set the open bottle in a safe spot while applying it, (some spilled the first time), since I needed both hands to apply it to my cat's eyes. Plus, the dropper was superfluous anyway, since you apply the rinse with a cotton ball dampened with it.I bought this Nutri Vet eye rinse the second time, after the Cliny brand ran out. I searched for a similar product in a different type of bottle, and this fit the bill perfectly. The formulation is very close, but it cost le$$, I got a bit more product, and it comes in a hassle-free, easy-peasy to dispense squeeze bottle. I have continued to use it every few days, whenever General Patton or Peanut, the other tabby prone to runny eyes, has an accumulation of dried discharge in the corners of their eyes. I also use it on Sam, the third cat's eyes, but he needs it way less often. It has reduced the need to rinse GP and Peanut's eyes every day, to every 2-3 days, and it is no hassle to do so at all, because the kitties don't fight me on it at all. I think it actually feels soothing to them, this is how little they mind having it applied. The amount of discharge I remove when I do it is also noticeably less, and their eyes look luminous and clear, and quite healthy, so I think there is something in the product that reduces their reaction to whatever environmental allergens or irritants caused them to produce so much eye discharge in the first place. 5 stars, and I endorse this product fully.Update: A couple of months later, and surprise--this NutriVet eye rinse is even more da bomb than I originally thought! It occurred to me that I had not cleaned either General Patton or Peanut's eyes with Nutri Vet rinse for several days, and they were still clear. This change was not as long lasting as I had thought in the long run, no doubt the environmental allergens have something to do with that, but no matter--by now, all 3 cats are total pros at having their eyes rinsed, meaning they no longer even resist my doing it. And their eyes all look wonderfully healthy and clear, so I am *still* sold on this product.

Super gentle and great for those red/brown tear stains.
I love using this cleaner on my cat. She has lots of tears that dry and bother her eyes, so I wet a small piece of gauze with this product and wipe around her eyes. I think it’s pretty gentle, because it doesn’t seem to sting her. There is no scent and it’s like a thin water, so it’s easy to apply and it dries quickly. I think it helps with the dried brown crust too; it’s hard to get off right away because I want to be gentle on my cat, but once I wipe her eyes a couple times the solution loosens the dried stain and makes it disappear.

Hard to Say
Hard to say if this is really effective or not. Our cat had weeping eyes and this didn't seem to make the slightest difference as we applied it for a few weeks. The weather had been damp recently and she was also sneezing a lot, but now the sun is back she's much better. Allergy probably. So, can't say for sure if this eye rinse did anything.

Effective
After using only once my kitties eyes were improved the following day and in the subsequent weeks I only need to use the drops once per day. I had checked with my vet about the nasty discharge from eyes and all she said was “Is your cat stressed”? I gave this idea consideration and determined my kitties are happy. The vet didn’t offer any product for the problem. Trying to administer any treatment for cats can be awkward but after a few tries we’re doing OK. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Bad Packaging
The packaging is not designed for safety during shipping, the safety seal will break easily if the bottle is slightly squeezed. You can make drops yourself with boric acid powder and water.

Safe, easy to use Nutri-Vet Cat Eye Rinse
I purchased these cat eye drops for my cat's pink eye. He had it for about a week and I was unable to get an appointment with the vet right away, so I ordered the Nutri-Vet cat eye rinse and have been using it three times a day. It's pretty easy to get the drops into his eyes even though he struggles a bit and I have to wrap him up in a towel before applying them. I have noticed that his eye is not so red anymore.. I'll continue to use the drops until his eye is cleared up completely, but I am relieved that the drops are working.
